Shamans are irreversably broken in PVP

I would rather have a bunch of priests, balance druids or hunters in my BG than a bunch of shamans.

i have 2 rank 7s and im yet to see this bud. ret is in a really bad place right now not a lot are playinig it. yet every other bg theres 4-5 shamans hence why i made the post.

ive seen it happen a few times on other metas and seen it 1 time with 2 pallies healing the entire team while rotating bubbles.

dont know fully about the new meta this weekend but we will see.

i mean if i log on and the pvp adjustments fix the shaman stacking issue on their own and its evident then ill probably delete this post and make one supporting those changes. though they hit mage hard and ive heard from people in my guild who are very very very good at pvp accross whichever wow expansion talk about how gimped they are right now in pvp without this pvp change that hard nerfs them.

they are still killing ppl in 1 hit. before they were overkilling people, now the damage simply lands right where it needs to be still resulting in 1 hit kills

pretty much any class almost (save for rogues but kinda still then) will unbalance a bg where its meant to be different classes and some of the class stacking might be more powerful than others.

still though pretty much any class being stacked will make up for the classes weakness.

its a problem with the matchmaking that i dont think anyone wants to address (would mean limiting classes to 2-3 or something per bg which would in turn make queue times excessive).

nah theres just a ton of shamans. same thing happened phase 1 with hunters. like ive very commonly seen 4-5 stack shaman stv groups just hold a spot next to the altar with maybe 1 los and have minor immortality. im glad hunters got reworked away from pet cheese for that reason.

youre all over the place .

there was no stv event in phase 1.

there are a ton of other classes too and pretty much all classes if you stack them mess up balance when stacked.

i agree only that almost any class stacked is out of balance.

let me clarify.

phase 1 every bandwagoner played a hunter because you could 1v3 people with a rolling pin. now in phase 3 shamans are overpoppulated like hunters are because they are completely busted in group play.

i know they are overpoppulated because its not only in bgs that i see 5 stacks of them i see 5 stacks of them in STV as well and they are just as gross there as they are in bgs. its not like a hidden secret how broken shaman is when stacked a whole lot of people are taking advantage of it.

the class is overplayed now just like hunter was in phase 1. dont you remember when there were 4-5 hunters on every premade in wsg phase 1? same thing happening now with shamans. bandwagon effect.

heavily heavily disagree though not typing out another paragraph to explain why.

gotta work on that reading comprehension bud

seems to me there are just as many priests and druids as there are shaman btw.

but ya .

I assume you have some statistics to back this up?

More likely frequency illusion.

source: my eyeballs every time I click the team button and scroll through the enemy faction 90% of the time

And when I join a BG, thereā€™s usually a healthy representation of most classes, and Shamans are not distortionately represented compared to Paladins on Alliance.

hell yeah brother Iā€™m a paladin why wouldnā€™t you trust me? all I know is truth and justice

Hah. But seriously, this is yet another problem with OP. Heā€™s making things up, ignoring data points that donā€™t suit, etc.

If you want to say ā€œit feels like I fight a lot of Shamansā€, sure. If you want to say ā€œShamans are overrepresented in PvP because they are OP and everybody is rolling oneā€, you better be prepared to back that up with some data.

donā€™t worry dude my uncle is Bobby Blizzard, Iā€™m gonna ask him to personally hand me the hard data on level 50 pvp player stats as soon as he gets back from his boating trip

seems to me after spending the day doing ab and 1 stv that there are alot of paladins druids and priests .

like 3 of each alot of the time sometimes more.

heck 1 ab there were like 6 rogues on the other team giving us flag defenders fits .

but whatever.

In all seriousness, if OP was genuinely concerned about discussing this issue he could easily taken screenshots of the enemy faction team composition for every BG he plays until he has built a sample.

heres a data point for you. why donā€™t you log onto an alliance character and go ask literally any alliance player that plays battlegrounds if there is an overpoppulation of shamans and an issue with there being 4-5 stacks of them constantly every bg. go ahead do it mr statistics man. i am not making anything up LOL i am reiterating literally what every other person on my faction i have come accross thinks. that is literally what making a statistic is. go look up how sample sizes work before you come at me with more troll garbage you brainless twit.
