I just want to be able to still one shot lvl 50 mobs with moonfire.
I do worry that the level squish will effect the âmust be 10 levels above itâ Transmog rule that allows me to get the normal classic style loot drops when I solo run.
With the limiting on the levels that rule will really hit hard unless they cut it to â5 levelsâ.
Blizzard confirmed in a post a while back about how legacy content will play out. This is how it will work:
Allied Race: Level 10 (Land Mount Access)
Classic: Level 20 (Flying Access) (currently level 60)
TBC: Level 25 (currently level 70)
WOTLK: Level 30 (currently level 80)
MOP/CAT: Level 35 (currently level 85/90)
WOD: Level 40 (currently level 100)
LEGION: Level 45 (currently level 110)
BFA: Level 50 (currently level 120)
For legacy loot, it requires 11 levels to activate legacy mode. In Shadowlands it will be 6 levels. Once you hit Level 56 in Shadowlands, Legacy mode will activate for BFA. This should make it a lot easier to solo old content then it does now.
I highly predict heirloom items will change. No more xp bonus on the gear.
I also think pathfinder for old expansions may change.
Unless theyâve changed their mind, even the devs said âItâll be a faceroll.â
Devs said the stat squish wouldnât effect the soloability of old raids. They said the level scaling wouldnât make leveling take longer. Why would you trust them this time?
If this were Blizzard Entertainment from 2004-2012, I would be slightly more inclined to trust their judgement even if I had disagreements and concerns with the direction theyâre taking.
The Activision-Blizzard of today gets little to no benefit of doubt from me.
I hope the people saying âthings will be fineâ are right. I sincerely hope so. But Iâm getting as much of my Lore achieves and transmog/mount farming done as possible now just in case.
Thatâs odd, I thought Ion specifically said at convention that there would be no difference in this. I hope this is just a glitch, because there are many old raids I want to farm
someone said it. someone lied.
I just ran the same character thru ToS yesterday. Burned right thru it on retailâŠdied a couple times on the PTR on the same boss.
You can beat it, Im sureâŠbut it AINT âthe sameâ as retail is. Not by a long shot.
Legacy loot is working on ptr I just zoned into a lfr legion raid to check.
I just soloed the first raid boss in nighthold to test it. My character is 445 item level had no problems.
Seconded. When they start taking stuff I worked for and proving they dont give two flipping squats about MY time investment, there is no trust anymore.
I trust them about as much as the ex wife. literally not at all.
yeahâŠthose folks said the same thing in BFA at this point. They were wrong.
There were plenty of screams in here and lots of âI told them soâ responses.
This is not true. Old content will be soloable. The only difference is the cap of how many enemies can be hit with AoE attacks.
Thank you for your post. This was helpful to me and good information.
I am glad it was helpful but keep in mind itâs not guaranteed to be 100% accurate.
I only did some basic math based on how level 120 gets squished to level 50, but just because the numbers work out a certain way in the math doesnât mean it will work out in-game exactly as the math suggests.
How Blizzard has determined the scaling works may not line up 100% with the math I have laid out.
You necroâd a ralph thread, and you have one post on this character.
We were also told last blizzcon from ion that âthey here usâ on class identity. Shadowlands = more borrowed power.
I wouldnât be surprised if they screwed this one up either.
If this is true this is great news
Oh no, they will have to bring their friends with them, how horrible.
No boss should be one shottable. A boss by definition is experienced at fighting. There is no reason why a creature that is a challenge to trained soldiers to be killed in one hit by the player. It makes no sense why a player should be able to solo the LK.
Chromie time is for levelling.
You can solo REALLY old raids. WoD is a bit harder, Legion Raids are VERY hard, and BFA raids need a group.
No he is not ⊠You are mistaken believing that Shadowlands will not suck. Shadowlands will suck so bad you will call your mama screaming! You wont be able to do old contents for gold as well Blizzard was always cheap on those issues never given gold to people why would they change that now ?
You realize youâre responding to a 9 month old comment where we have new information, new concerns and such, yes? This thread was necroâd by someone with one post. Youâre responding to something completely outdated.
Didnt they say they want to adjust it so people are able to do it with a party that only needs about 5 players, including a tank and heal? So no need for a full raid group.
