Shadowlands Typo & Grammatical Error Megathread

Bastion World Quest > History of Corruption > 1/1 Vesper of History rang

“Rang” should be “rung”. (past participle)

If you buy the “Crystallized Ichor” item from Au’larrynar in Maldraxxus and trigger its effect on an enemy (by attacking them, randomly), and mouse over the debuff effect (named “Numbing Ichor”), then the haste reduction displays as gibberish in the tooltip, i.e. for me the tooltip reads “Taking 723 Nature damage every 3 sec and Haste is reduced by $334285w1.”

There are also two spaces after “sec” when there should be one.

Quest: Those Who Hunger
“Normally their…” should be “Normally they’re…”, “can be aggressiv” to “…aggressive,”

Tooltip for the rogue ability Blade Flurry (rank 2, earned at level 52) says:

“Blade Flurry now instantly strikes up to nearby 5 targets for (amount) damage.”

The word “nearby” and the “5” should be swapped.

Adventure: “Campaign: Whisper in the Dark”
Enemy: “Manifest Doubt”
Zone: Bastion/Kyrian Covenant

Typo: (On top of the “decreasing damage done by -25%” typo already mentioned above, there’s also this one:) “The creatures makes all enemies doubt themselves…”
Fix: “The creature makes all enemies doubt themselves…” or “The creatures make all enemies doubt themselves…”

(The “creatures makes” should either be “creature makes” or “creatures make”.)

Item: Riding Hook (Quest Item for “Aerial Advantage”)
Grammatical Error: “Use: Use chain and hook, to leap to targeted Battlesewn Roc.”
Fix: “Use: Use chain and hook to leap to targeted Battlesewn Roc.”
(The comma should be removed.)

I came here to report this one! I just got the quest today. Just to add further context, it’s one of the Ardenweald daily quests that you unlock from the rank 2 anima conduit. Both typos are in the second paragraph.

Additionally, it’s missing a few commas, but comma rules seem to be pretty lax now when it comes to choosing how a sentence reads. I would change that paragraph to say

Normally,* they’re* simple decomposers, playing their part in the Great* Cycle* (capitalize this),* but when in great numbers,* the gorm can be aggressive.** If left unchecked,* their ravenous hunger will cause untold destruction.

When putting out a Surprisingly Palatable Feast, the chat log notice spells it “Supringly Palatable Feast”

Quest: The Curator

Text: “I tasked the Curator with reacquiring the Medallion of Avarce.”

Necrolords covenant campaign quest “Cut to the Bone”

Step one says to kill 5 “Ossien” workers and it should be “Ossein”

NPC: Apolon

After asking for advice about difficult memory fights, third paragraph:

Lastly, as your increase your renown with our covenant, your souldbinds get passively stronger.

It should be “you”.

Quest : The Curator
Zone : Revendreth

Avarice is mispelled on the quest text

In Huntsman Altimor’s tank overview in the dungeon journal, the word physical is spelled wrong in the first bullet point about Margore.

WQ Ardenweald: ‘Who devours the Devourers’ the flying spider mobs are called ‘Invding Leecher’ - instead of ‘InvAding Leecher’

Quest Observing War doesn’t progress just stays at 0 even when que for spec dungeon. I just abandoned it and got it again to see if that helps.
edit: I abandoned the quest and got it again and it still doesn’t give me honor to progress the quest.
edit: Realized I was Capped at max honor

Wanted: The Pale Doom (Secondary Quest - Revendreth). The quest reward is a grey item, “Writ of Tithe Exemption”. The description of the item is, “‘By the order of the Taskmaster, the bearer is exempt from four anima tithings. Porportionate compensation may be given for transfer of this writ.’”

Proportionate, instead of porportionate.

Re: #1, they dun boobooed the spelling. Here in murca, “Caligraphed” [sic] should be “Calligraphed”.

I’m not sure if this was mentioned already – In the quest “The Curator” for the storyline quest in Revendreth, Avarice is spelt Avarce in the first sentence.

In the quest “May I Take Your Order?” in Bleak Redoubt, Maldraxxus, Flytrap says:
“Having teammates is important, I want to be sturdy enough to carry other’s into combat with me.”
(Note that this is also a run-on sentence.)

In the Night Fae campaign mission Cleansing The Forest, on the step where you must slay Dambala, one of the abilities for the Majestic Runestag (Dreaming Charge) the tooltip says “Perform a -devestating- charge that deals physical damage to an enemy target.” -Devastating- is the correct spelling
