Shadowlands Season 3 Ending Soon

Yeah…If we really only have 3 weeks and they want more people to get CE, they’ll have to essentially remove entire mechanics… CE won’t really mean much.

What the hell is going on over there…?

Our guild is casual CE guild with 2-3 days of raiding currently on anduin mythic. if this is a normal raiding tier we couldve gotten CE. but with “OVERTUNED RAID with 5 months of Raiding time” Its really hard for a casual/semi-hardcore/tightnit guilds out there.

I think with this decision there will be alot of guilds going to break up… sadly with decision aswell feels like you really do not care about those people.

Literally raiders are the one staying and loving the game even though everyone else are leaving the game. We’re still here raiding. Loyal to the game and this is the reward.

Probably if we do not get CE we might just quit altogether. I personally think this will happen to some of 2-3 day mythic raiding guilds out there

I can’t begin to describe my frustration with this asinine decision. You’ve made one of the harder raids in recent memory (actually, it is probably the hardest raid of all time) and you’ve got an overwhelming number of guilds still on Lords/Rygelon; and so, your solution is to nerf all 3 of the last bosses into the ground and only give us 1 month to finish? You should’ve given a minimum of 2 more months if you planned to break the standard timeline that you’ve already set in regards to final raid tiers’ duration.

Barely anyone is looking forward to season 4 anyways, and there is no logical reason it has to start before the end of summer. You can still fit all the content you want into that “experimental” season if you let the current tier continue through August. What on Earth are you guys thinking with this foolishness? Unless you plan to launch the new expansion in the Fall, which I am pretty positive is not happening or we would’ve been given a release date already, it is shaping up to look like Season 3 (with content that is still new and fresh for an overwhelming majority of the raiding community) is going to last about the same length of time as Season 4 will (with recycled content that we’ve already been doing for the entire expansion). To say I am shocked would be an understatement.

I legitimately NEVER come into the forums to complain, but this is one of the most absurd decisions you guys have ever made in my ~10 years of playing WoW. I am absolutely dumbfounded and can’t wrap my head around this decision. I am not only confused, but I am also really angry about how flippantly you slap players in the face with the aforementioned “exception to the rule” that you’ve already set with final raid tiers. Just to reiterate that point: final raid tiers should not last only a few months! All the time and effort I’ve put in to try and get to Mythic Jailer feels wasted at this point, and I’ve never felt that way in any other raids I have pushed CE. You badly need to reevaluate this because you’re going to anger a tremendous amount of players who have worked VERY hard to get to where they are currently at (Lords/Rygelon) . At the very LEAST, you should have implemented your nerfs THIS Tuesday instead of waiting until next week; but no, you couldn’t even do that.

It really just comes down to one simple question: how do you make a raid that is longer AND more difficult than the previous raid last for several months less than its predecessor? I just don’t get it, but I DO get the feeling that I can no longer trust this company. /smh

It seems as though Blizzard doesn’t care about the passion and dedication that people raid with when they’re playing on very limited free time. It is actually disgusting of Blizzard to have treated the player base like this. Folks like you and I - and plenty of other heartbroken raiders in this thread - don’t deserve to have all our hard work pulled out from underneath us. My heart feels for you. I know I am being melodramatic, but on one hand, I honestly feel the way I am describing, for real. Might be the single worst decision ever made for the PVE community in the history of WoW. Someone please wake me up from this dre-- nightmare!!

Evidently, Blizzard hasn’t taken into consideration that players with disabilities may (or may not) progress through raids at a slower pace than others. Recently breaking my back in 4 places has given me an overwhelming sense of appreciation for the things that disabled raiders (and gamers in general) are able to achieve. I feel so bad for you and your guild. Talk about disappointing.

I am starting to wonder if I am even going to buy the new expansion after this horrible stunt Blizzard has pulled, and this is something I NEVER would have even considered in all my years playing this game. Everyone who pre-ordered should be requesting a refund immediately because this kind of tactic is ABSOLUTELY inexcusable. Possibly the hardest raid in the history of the game, dozens of 1-shot mechanics and far more so than any other raid, 11 bosses long, and cut short by months and months. It really is disgusting treatment of the player base, and this is coming from someone who NEVER visits the forums EVER. I am so sorry this is happening to your guild, Quinny. I really still can’t believe this isn’t some horrible nightmare I’m having because it really is that bad of a decision on Blizzard’s part.

lol
It’s about as crap as yours, we just raid less hours per week and don’t pretend to be world first raiders on the forums.

Didnt mythic jailer just get another round of nerfs last week? I may be mistaken.

Really excited for Season 4! Dragonflight will be here before we know it!

I guess this needs to go in like next reset.

Raiding community in a nutshell

Omg there’s not enough content

Omg there’s too much content

Omg it’s all M+'s fault we wiped on heroic halondrus for months get rid of M+

Omg it’s all M+'s fault that season 4 is launching

Have I missed anything?

Mythic raiders do not complain there’s too little content. They’re more than happy to clear the raid and then keep doing it the rest of the tier without complaints, to farm mounts. Keep in mind that after getting Cutting Edge, a CE guild is still going to have to re-clear a dozen more times to get everyone on the team the mount.

Unless you’re talking about streamers who are just trolling for hits by complaining about everything.

Well I am thankful that it is a solid 4 weeks notice, and it is posted on GD - instead of a one week notice posted on twitter.

I am not a competitive player, but it does feel like this raid tier has had more bosses, tons of trash, harder mechanics… but less time for people to experience it.

The 9.3 Fated Raids sounded like a good idea if Dragonflight was not going to be released until 2023. Cutting off a proper raid season to squeeze in the Fated system might destroy the proper raid season and the new Fated System by leaving the player base too bitter to give proper feedback.

Looks like a mad dash on Blizzard’s part.

My fear with Season4 is that they’re going to try this with DF. As in, DF will have exactly the same content cadence.

I hope Season4 goes over good but not great because I don’t want another SL release schedule.

The concept of S4 only came into existence because we had 8+ months inbetween content patches and they had to skip out on doing a 9.3. Patch fatigue starts hitting hard when you’re 6 months into a patch and everyone’s already gotten CE.

It makes sense inbetween 9.0->9.1 and 9.1->9.2, but not for 9.2 because so little guilds have even gotten CE, and we’re only 4 months in. Sanctum is the hardest raid this tier and was balanced around everyone having 4-pieces and dual legendaries. Alliance is literally just closing out their hall of fame…

I literally have 0 excitement for Season 4 if they’re canning Season 3 before the majority of the CE guilds who aren’t 3-4 day can even get CE. I’ll just stop playing until Dragonflight launches.

I’m glad that this means Dragonflight will be coming sooner than later.

I am begging y’all to give us another month or two after S4 begins! ilvl cap the raid if you have to. The Alliance HoF isn’t even closed yet!!!

Thing is, they’ve never addressed the core problem of the Jailer fight on any difficulty, except when they removed the knockback from Misery on Heroic difficulty at the end of May.

The problem with the Jailer fight is that it’s essentially a maze of narrow catwalks, in a room with dozens of pits, on a fight with multiple knockback mechanics to knock you into pits. All the 10% nerfs in the world don’t help with 1-shot mechanics.

These are fine if people have time to practice the fight and get it down. Since Blizzard is removing the time, the nerf lists needs to start with:

  • Misery, Decimator, and Meteor Cleave no longer knock players back, on any difficulty.

Unless the nerf list STARTS with that, the list is a failure.

I would prefer they NOT nerf the fights, and instead give us time to get AOTC/CE in Season 4. But if Blizzard insists on moving forward with this, the nerf list better start with mechanical changes equivalent to ^ that.

Is ironic how the profesional players complain a LOT for the warlock and dk nerfs but now, they already re-clear the raids a lot of times because (of course they are very good at the game but also), play like 12 hours per day, no one complain in the forums or twitter about that, and are “happy” with the season 4; of coursee they are happy, havnt RWF or MDI so can sell carrys 24 7 to prepare the new exp raid, also blizzard add a chat for “sell services”, so s4 for them will be sell carrys, and wait DF withou punish since everyone already have CE.

My guy… just don’t get knocked back into a hole? How can you possibly ask for an entire removal of one of the simpler mechanics in the fight and still call that a CE kill
