You got use out of them. If you even leveled a couple characters they were worth the gold spent. Plus they will still be useful and remove the need for constantly upgrading while leveling.

Tip: Running into trouble finding an available name? Try adding an additional vowel or swapping a consonant for a similar-sounding one, or try your luck clicking the randomize button.

I love the jewelry but I feel like it could’ve been more of a cosmetic reward, or vanity items. I don’t really look at it as customization. Still I am just happy they are giving us some. I hope we get mogs to complement it all.

To the Community (Druids, particularly): You want to collect all the glyphs that change your appearance (Doe, Cheetah, Sentinel, Dolphin, etc) and hold them in your bags until the system goes live. These will then become ON USE consumables which will unlock that appearance in the barber shop. If you have any applied glyphs THEY WILL NOT TRANSLATE to the new system, so you will need an additional glyph.
For example, if you have glyph of the dolphin applied, you will not have that appearance unlocked at the barber shop, you will need an additional glyph to use after the system goes live.
Furthermore, you will NOT see options if you do not have options, so there may be shape shift options that are unavailable until you have learned the glyph. So the best thing to do is collect all the appearance glyphs now, use them when the patch goes live and then go to the barber shop. Save yourself some confusion.
Note: This does not apply to the color shifting glyphs to the best of my knowledge - just the ones that changes your shape sift form from one type of animal to another.
To Blizzard: locking scars to the Night Elf “dead” eye was a bad call. Let us mix and match as we see fit. Also, there was no reason to remove the dull black and lavender hair color option. I mean, if you’re going to give us that bizarre orange hair, why not the dun black and lavender? Making those DK only is silly. The whole point of this exercise is to allow players full customization. Why on earth would you then lock scars to eye color and lock away DK-only hair colors that really aren’t too far afield for the regular hair colors?

Glad you can appreciate it at least. And yeah it would have worked better (in my personal opinion as well) by far as transmogs. I just wish blood elves got more variety >< And there’s night elf hair styles I am sooo jealous of–like the half mohawk. Argh! One of my favorites.

Loving the blue eyes, but can male blood elves get some more customization? Like a full beard option, scars, tattoos, and maybe some jewelry?

(Commentary): I think it’d be awesome if Blood Elves got tattoos/warpaint. It makes sense for them and is a lore appropriate option, unless Blizzard pulls a soft-retcon and goes, “no, only Alleria’s unit of Rangers did the warpaint thing because they were that brutal,” or something.

Nice work on the Nelf’s, and Draenei. Love the new skin color’s and hair styles.
But, you kinda dropped the ball on the Belf’s. Yes blue eye’s are great, but only two new female hairstyles? One goofy skyscraper pony tail, and the other is ruined by the tiara…
Could we separate the tiara? It’s a nice do otherwise.

Can we get the scar option the old school orcs get added to Mag’har ?
I would really like the eye scar and blind eye option to go with my transmog eye patch . Would be a nice part of the rp experience.
