Shadowlands non raid content is apparently a minigame for mythic raiders to abuse

You’re the one who thinks you should be able to sub out any alt you have in mythic raids without actually doing any of the grinding to get it there right?

Ralph sure conveniently forgets that the new chest will gear players up with mythic ilvl gear much faster than the old system. I don’t think Ralph even has beta.

He’s woefully ignorant on anything happening in shadowlands.

Are you referring to me?

Yes. You made that thread crying about essences?

But he gets us talking. 42% of threads are muh login is broke or my fairy mog insults my cat.

If there was a Cutting Edge achievement for trolling, Ralph would be the first to get it.

He already parses 100 for it.

I had four characters that grinded BIS essences before account bound essences came in.

Also are you really going to out yourself as anti account bound essences? L M A OOOOOO

Why wouldn’t I? I’ve grinded out over 20 cloaks without crying on the forums and people are whining about having to do it once. If you want the reward you do the content to get it.

I thought shadowlands was delayed? i havent been on in a while

Ralph is a troll who expects handouts. If it were up to me WQ would be gutted to below normal dungeon level and emissaries would never drop above heroic dungeon level gear. If you want better gear than handout gear then man up and do the content. The entire reason I’m even in this thread is because I think pvp gear should be better than pve gear for pvp.

In 12 weeks most mythic guilds won’t even be on the last 2 bosses…

And non-mythic guilds won’t even be doing much beyond a boss or 2.

Most people’s 226 gear is going to come from mythic+ weekly.

Right, there’s the 3 ilvl difference for Heroic which was likely done specifically to prevent loot trading on the first week of Heroic raiding so that top end guilds can’t gear multiple teams of mains/alts in M+ and then run Heroic raids in the first week and trade potential drops around. With the 3 ilvl difference, everything will be considered an upgrade. I don’t know who cares about this other than top end guilds, so why else would they do it? Seems to be another change catering to these guilds at the expense of non-raiders. (Admittedly, this one is pretty minor, but still seems unnecessary.)

The bigger issue imo is that last 2 bosses of Nathria also drop gear that is 7 ilvls higher than everything else.

I won’t argue against that.

You’re still a absolute clown for being against account bound essences though. Ralph doesn’t even PvP - He’s just trying to ride as many coat-tails as possible to get support after he spent 2 months banned for making these garbage pity-party threads.

You’re a much better player than I will ever be. But I want to earn my crappy normal raid level gear ffs XD I am against most of what he says tbh

Most wont, but a fair pool of players will. With non-weekly cycle itemization progression from other end content being so far behind in what is possible to gear (from raid) throughout those same weeks, you’ll have beyond-geared players trouncing other game modes of players that have equally invested themselves in the grind. PvP brackets for example take a major hit from this, where PvP focused players are woefully undergeared for their personal investment in the game facing off against predominantly raid geared players.

Wish Blizzard would just release the itemization math, to show their expected gear outcomes on a temporal scale throughout the expansion. Do a little data viz chart and drop it on the community to pacify everyone a bit… and “Show” how they expect itemization to occur. We don’t agree on the gear pacing / how it will impact progression of non-raid content, but that’s entirely ok. I think we’re going to see pretty unfavorable itemization outcomes for anyone who doesn’t primarily raid.

This type of topic always fail to realize, that raiders would take advantage of what ever thing Blizzard decide to give gear.

That has always been how raiding works, you try to do everything outside of raiding so is easier for the whole group to progress.

More forms of gearing help mythic raiders, I dont care if a person that plays the game as a single player rpg has mythic gear, I would gladly take everything edge I can to help progression.

Blizzard has the data. If that were true then I highly doubt they’d spend so many resources developing raids. WoW is a lot of things to a lot of different people, but raiding is Blizzard’s money maker.

The only thing I agree with you on is PvP. Blizzard is not satisfied with people who don’t do “all” the content. If they just let PvPers PvP and PvEers PvE the game would be better.

The last 2 bosses, especially on mythic, are a massive step change in difficulty from the rest of the raid.

And it’s like 4 slots total.

For all the effort it takes both in the encounters themselves and also the guild management efforts of going through 300 pulls with 20 people over 2 months I don’t see it being a bad thing to have a few slots of better gear.

I think it’s safe to assume their expectation is the same as it always has been since these “alternative gear” routes have been introduced.

If you raid mythic you’ll have a significant advantage over anyone who doesn’t, regardless of the difficulty of content.
