Shadowlands non raid content is apparently a minigame for mythic raiders to abuse

There are armory things that can show how many people have ce but considering even aotc is at like 20-25% including people who paid for carries for the mount its not. Lfr and random bgs and WQ are what make them money.

Sounds unworkable.

  • Casual Players would complain that it is taking them 6 months to get gear that the mythic players are getting in one. They would want it faster.
  • Or if gathering currency from casual content was faster: Mythic Players would complain that there is no point in mythic raiding when casual play gets you gear just as good in almost the same time with a fraction of the effort.

Mythic+ … even high Mythic+ … takes a far smaller time investment than mythic raiding. Making high Mythic+ drop mythic level gear would instantly kill mythic raiding. Why raid mythic if you can get comparable gear with 1/10 the time investment?

Keep in mind that mythic raiding has a weekly lockout which artificially restricts how many pieces of loot you can get each week.

Mythic+ and Arena have no such limit. If loot had a chance to drop from each Mythic+ dungeon and each arena match, in theory you could fully gear up with mythic level loot in just the first day. That can’t happen with mythic raiding where you can’t endlessly spam the dungeon.

This is why Blizzard has the weekly chest for top level loot from non-raid content.

If you think at all this type of official data will “pacify” anyone you clearly haven’t been on the forums long enough lol.

It will be a forever reference point of rage and complaints.

If pvp gear was how it almost always was itd be conquest capped and that is just as time gated. There were many years of wow before legion you guys

I agree. It wouldn’t appease anyone, but at least the heroic raiders who parrot 1% talking points would realize old Ralphy here isn’t exactly the troll he’s been made out to be.

Come to think of it OP… this has almost always been the case. There was a time when PvP had stats and vendors, but it seems those days are gone for now. There are simply more PvE players than PvPers, but in case those players want to try PvP Blizzard wants that barrier to be as small as possible. Just my $.02

Ralph is the most effective and best troll on the forums specifically because he’s not wrong completely but his talking points are so ridiculous he makes elitists angry and entitled casuals feel like he understands them

I don’t call that trolling I call it purposefully provocative.

Blizz’s nitemare is that after spending millions on raids, no one will do them.

maybe a new game will come out or the casual’s will get the message and just ignore them.

so they blackmail folks into doing them so they can claim success.

the mythic raiders have nothing to do with this it’s just Blizz being paranoid.

been like this forever.

The reason there’s now more pvers is because pvp progression was ruined for pvp mains because pve people didn’t want to get their feelings hurt their mythic raid gear wouldn’t give them an unfair advantage in pvp too and they were too lazy to actually gear in pvp. As many people did random bgs as did lfr according to the devs and that’s most pvp and pve participation.

I’m not necessarily saying it’s a bad thing or should be removed, I’m asking: is it too much to ask that M+ be also given the option to move up that step too? The option to take on a +7 ilvl challenge and be given a +7 ilvl reward?

Equal challenges and equal rewards, that’s all I ask.

He’s not a troll

He’s just got no idea and is actively trying to make the game worse for everyone because he only started playing in WoD when you could buy levelling boost, buys carries for all of his toons and only started liking the game when he could pay to not play the game

Not to breakout the overused and silly cliche, but I’ve been here since day one, friendo.

It’s bad enough WoW is mostly a sad lobby game, but now you want to fragment it even more with this stuff? And why? just to make a bunch of people upset that others have better gear than them feel better? I don’t care that you have gear. You earned it. I don’t have the time or desire to raid anymore, but I still like to play. I don’t consider that the fault of the game.

No

There aren’t pvpers because any pvper has to become a pver before they can be a pvper and pvp got gutted because blizzard thought trying to appeal to the crowd that didn’t do pvp would make pvp better which it didn’t and ended up murdering it

Well I get your point, but I don’t really think making M+ and PvP actually competitive gearing options is bad for the game.

They will be fine in shadowlands you’ll just have less gear than people doing the harder content in the game

If you want that gear you do the harder content or accept your gear cap is at heroic ilvl

Imagine if you had to get 2400 to get the gear to be able to do a mythic 0. The opposite is what they did to pvpers.

I’m an involuntary non-raider. No one volunteers to not have access to the best loot.

Fine with me, as long as it’s somehow equally as difficult and is limited to the same 4ish slots.

But it’s also hard to translate a logistical hurdle of 20 people to 5 (mythic+) and 3 (arena).

And before people say “that shouldn’t matter,” it is a challenge that absolutely must be overcome to obtain said gear so it absolutely matters.

You don’t need mythic gear to get to a high enough rating in PvP

If you’re going for a gladiator title you’d want that gear
