I too was quite disappointed with the way things are looking. However I stumbled upon a post regarding changes to the way pvp loot works. I think it’s a little too soon to tell what shadowlands is going to be like with a post like that. Though it will be a bit of a waiting game which might be kind of boring. The fact that they are considering is a huge plus in my books and my hopes are high.

With the just announced loot changes PvP will be in much worse shape than in WoD.
Indeed that is what im going to do. I will play on launch day till I find there is nothing interesting to do outside of raids or mythic plus. Regardless wow is worth the expansion purchase and a couple months subscription then I will be out as usual. Only expansion I did not unsub from was legion over the last 4.

Soooo why are world quests useless after week 1 exactly?
Legit asking since I haven’t followed much on SL. Want to keep it fresh as long as I can.
They’re not, you want to do as many as you can handle for the renown.
you are so so wrong…getting loot from mythic plus is what made it so great…the more drops you got the sooner you could push even higher keys.nobody cares what ilvl the loot is dropping the problem is that not enough drops…people bringing up weekly chest…1 item a week is nothing and there is no guarantee the item will even be useful.at the end of the day 1 item per mythic plus run for the entire group is dumb as all. normal mythics will generally drop a few items per run.no reason for mythic plus to be dropping 1 item for entire group when its not even raid level gear.
Meh, there is no need to have the best gear if you’re not doing the hardest raids.
WoD’s issue was an extreme lack of content.
Shadowlands already has way more content than WoD ever had.
Yeah, WoD’s first tier was “Heroics, Raid, or log off” once you did your 5 minutes of FarmVille for the day.
Oh, and an Apexis Daily that was about as interesting as watching paint dry.

I don’t know so much about that.
I don’t think there was anything that was saving that steaming turd that was WoD. The Garrison content could have been interesting, but certain design choices made it as unfun as possible, and the general areas and theme just wasn’t that great.
I don’t know which I was getting more tired of during WoD – Trolls or Orcs. At least in Shadowlands, we have entirely new factions, entirely new enemies and I’ve yet to see a troll or an Orc (other than Thrall) anywhere in Shadowlands, so that’s a huge plus for me.
Also, very little HvA (at least thusfar!) is also a huge plus, as well.
Terrain navigation in SL is way better than in WoD, with maybe the exception in Revendreth. The other 3 zones are fine. We just won’t talk about the Maw. It’s a hellhole, but then I think that was the whole point behind the zone, you’re supposed to hate it.
Some of us knew how this expansion would play out early. This shouldnt be a surprise to anyone now.

I think instead of working from home they watched TV from home then scrambled to put something together last minute. Took 2 months off for holidays and finally start some work again.

Dude a bunch of us knew before the expansion even launched that for whatever reason the devs would be scrambling to save the expansion by 9.1. Read through the post and look how A bunch of us got chastised for staying the truth dude. Wild world bro.

it’s actually worse. i had multiple BiS toons raiding during wod, the questing was great, wq’s way less time consuming, free gold. no systems just one legendary ring, no dumb conduits to worry then constant upgrades getting offspec conduits you don’t even want just to make you waste more time buying uprades over and over in the maw. yo shadowlands ain’t even close to being as good as wod. lack of content don’t make for a terrible expansion wod but shadowlands sure does.
