Shadowlands looks like WOD 2.0

WoD was a massive “raid or die” expansion. That was virtually all the content the expansion had.

True that! I should reconsider :stuck_out_tongue:

Counter argument. It only got put in the game because casuals cried and cried that they didn’t have a path to similar gear. Casuals are angry that raiders get better loot then them and think the game should revolve around them ( only play 3 hrs a week, no problem, here is some raid loot). I despise them more than I do anyone else.

Yeah but casuals are essentially what move the game, it’s not the 1% of ultra hardcore players who make wow profitable, is the literal hundreds of thousands of casuals paying to play even when they are not actively playing the game who do, so if anyone deserves that from Blizzard it’s the casual majority.

Im pretty sure your wrong.

Legions was wait 2 hours, BFA’s was wait on top on a building in a raid grp in WM for a plane to fly over once an hour. what did you expect.

plus there will be random drop world epics if you want to farm those

If they let the casualness run amok this game would die a painful death and the twitch streamers would drop left and right.

Yeah, the casual players are the millions of tiny gears that keep the engine turning but its the tryhards doing a majority of the heavy lifting keeping the vehicle in motion.

Who wants to play World of Casualcraft? Who wants to watch World of Casualcraft?

Very few.

The overwhelming majority of WoW streamers & content creators are mythic raiders or high-ranking PvP players and they drive the appeal.

If they acceded to every request, the casuals would be done with the game in a couple of weeks and remain subbed for a couple of months every 2 years. The raiders basically don’t drop their sub ever. I am not interested in listening to whiners hold the game hostage. All anyone from the supposed hardcore side is advocating is gameplay mechanics 101. Which game can you remain in the starter zone and get the best rewards? Harder content means better gear in pretty much every game that has ever existed. GW2 uses their ‘everyone gets the same gear’ as a genuine point of difference from other games, if you want that, then go play GW2 and leave WoW alone.

You guys whinge about ‘muh progression’, but what do you progress? You don’t raid, you don’t mythic+, you don’t do rated pvp. So what is there? We need gear to heal through more damage and push dps checks, what do you need it for? Make your meter look better on some impossible to fail world boss? Make sure everyone is exactly the same in world pvp. It’s a joke.

Pretty self explanatory really. Unless someone has really low “common sense IQ”.

Not that i care much about it. I agree with the general logic of the best gear should come from hardest content even if i personally have no interest in said content.

No player or group of player should be or should be seen as more important than the other. When decisions are made, its aim should be to benefit everyone and not hurt each other because we want to take a jab at those “elitists”.

Preach on brother!

I would like you to understand that WE CAN HAVE BOTH!!!

Clearly you dont like your performance being exposed. If you dont raid you dont need the ilvl that comes with it. Pretty simple.

This is wrong, open world catch up content is now being designed and tuned around raid ilvls.

No you can’t. Easy gear means I am raiding for nothing. That happened in 8.2 and it sucked. You get your easy gear in a few weeks then quit for the tier.

So where am I wrong here?

How so? Aside from covenants, Shadowlands is looking like a fine expansion from everything I have seen.

You keep saying you’d think Heroic Level Quests would be GREAT! But then keep complaining about Heroic Level Questing.
The Vendor gear is 100, the drops off the rares 110. Ny’alotha Heroic gear is 115?

You want gear that is within 10% of Heroic, and it’s available. But you complain it wasn’t as easy to get as quests done while leveling? Yes, the quests are difficult to jump from fresh ding to 100 ilvl gear rewards. That difficulty jump is on par with the difficulty for every raid team and mythic+ or pvper and what they have to go through.

This, again, is why the common response to these requests is you simply want handout gear. The progression paths are in game – you just don’t want to do them. Even when a progression path exists IN GAME that you supposedly want, you complain about it.

This isn’t about casuals wanting content – it’s about casuals wanting handouts.

Noone wants anything for free noone wants raiders to have less rewards we just want something to do in the world that comes close to character power progression. Amazing how people only see what they want.

LOL. SL looks like WoD 4.0.

Legion was worse
BfA even worse
SL = more of the same.
