Baseline binding shot and the talent that goes with it sound rather interesting as some possibly good for pvp. There’s of course no way currently to say if it’ll be good or not but it’s definitely something to test out in my opinion.
Marks and BM wouldn’t have a use for a melee weapon. Survival wouldn’t either if they could attack from full range. Removing the minimum range for ranged weapons removed the need for the Hunter’s original melee attacks.
I hope they won’t remove eye of the beast from SL. It is a great tool to spy on the enemy faction in pvp, and trigger traps. I could imagine, eye of the beast could be used in dungeons for interesting pulls.
Sounds like msv is the big winner so far. More utility, more versatile dmg and less dead talents.
I just want to feel like there’s a purpose to hitting that button other than just “hey you have one extra button to press”
BM might have few buttons to press at the moment, but Cobra Shot reduces the cooldown on Kill Command which is your big hitter and then Barbed Shot gives you frenzy and reduces the cooldown on Bestial Wrath. They all feel impactful.
The only way I could see it work is as a focus builder instead of spender a la Chimera Shot (which then causes issues for MM). If it’s just another spender that ends up competing with Kill Command, then it becomes a binary option on which one deals the most damage. There’s nothing exciting about that and given our mastery, it is more likely to end up staying in the spell book.
The new BM talents look like much more interesting options to add complexity to the rotation… that’s more like what I’d like them to add baseline instead and not necessarily only for BM.
Yes. This absolutely needs to be baseline. I’m happy for a lot of the other changes you mentioned though. It is the talent I will always pick - no matter what. I think the same can be said for a lot of Hunters. That’s the kind of thing they “said” they wanted to avoid. Maybe they think it’s different because it was added in later expansions, but it is essential (word for the day).
I think shorten new cheatah to one minute cd or give us old cheatah back with no daze effect make it turn off if hit like the glyph of cheatah did.
Volley being returned could be useful
all stings all traps should be available to all hunters. Im going to keep posting theta till it happens. Seriously though buff em for SV, make them better whatever but all hunters should have them all.
I wish a dev would play MM against a melee (specifically a rogue, DK, DH) in its current state so he can see one of the major problems with it. We can’t just blink out of stuff mid cast like mages, disengage is so easy to predict and stop because posthaste doesn’t give us a 2-3 second get out of root free card after its used. Again. We also need chimera shot back for MM like it was ORIGINALLY. Hell I would even take marked shot back over chimera. This is just not enough for MM hunters im sorry lol. I’m more of a advocate for RSV but the fact MSV didnt get the option to dual wield is absurd along with the lackluster changes for the spec. Blizzard just delete it if you aren’t going to do anything cool with it and let it remain bottom tier.
Where’s the notes that we get binding arrow baseline I’ve seen it nowhere.
Arcane shot, scare beast, tranq shot, kill shot, eyes of the beast, are the things I’ve seen on mmo champion as well as some new damage moves but no notes on binding arrow being baseline am I missing some notes somewhere
Thuper it’s mentioned in shackle talent for MM.
Oh it’s mm only damn
I really hope not, we need more utility across all specs
No. Mm already misses out on a single target stun and some of the pet utility. Mm needs unique utility if they don’t equalize the specs.
Wasn’t targetable volley included in there somewhere?
Even as a talent that would be nice. I miss the ability to rain down arrows on a specific location. Hopefully it replaced barrage.
Happy for eotb, and hunters mark. Survival is just eh, they def dont know what to do with spec. Its like watching a train wreck in slo mo with another right behind it. They should revert it to pre wod and start over from there.
I really want our old Cheetah talent back. I hate being so dang slow.
That and at least we would being some more utility to groups. Boost everyone running back from wipes and stuff.
well it seems that BM will stay the only viable spec
Seems Blizzard is trying to go more class than spec this time around. So survival is a hard fit with a class that has two range physical (I guess you can say) specs.
