Enjoy your holidays and come back later . The raid is not running anywhere . The patch will be 3 to 4 months long and expansion will last 2 years.
There are a lot of context differences between an expansion launch and a raid tier.
Like the entire first half of that post talking about current raid progression and finishing up Aotc and CE which are 100% not applicable to the game as it stands.
This isn’t even an unusual time, the base game and 3 other expansions being similar.
So, if someone is on a team like Limit or something, and probably actually gets paid to do stuff like mythic raiding, I can understand why they’d be pissed. Why should you treat something like a job when you’re not even getting paid to do it, though?
I’ve always found the idea of racing to be world first toxic in itself. No one outside of the game’s community will care, therefore I don’t really see the benefits outweighing the costs.
I’m not, but unlike you, I understand the mentality.
If you think for one minute guilds like Limit will take Christmas off if they don’t have CE, then I’ve got a bridge to sell you.
Like I said though, I’m more concerned with game breaking bugs they won’t fix because they’re on vacation.
Right I understand that but if you’re guild is such a tight group then what’s the problem with just waiting until everyone has time to raid?
That’s not the end of the world right?
Yes, there is. An expansion launch is a lot larger, so if they were concerned about having staff for a raid tier, what in the world makes you think that that problem doesnt exist for something dramatically bigger?
The world does not care nor revolve around mythic raiding. For you to assume and assign it so much importance makes you the troll. I speak in real world values not digital ones.
Yet another person who doesn’t understand what it means to be in a raiding guild. You “miss two weeks” you lose your raid spot, bottom line.
Well, their history of 4 other massive WoW expansion and base game launches in the same time frame is pretty telling that this isn’t new for them.
Because I shouldnt have to choose between 2 groups of people I care about when the only reason I do is a company not staying consistent with their own admitted problem.
So find another raiding guild or book a spot on a guild that is raiding after the holidays. Duh!!!
The real world value is that the game is going to be riddled with bugs because nobody is going to be there fixing them during two major holidays. Stop being a troll that literally only two other people, who don’t raid, in this thread agree with.
You could always… spend time with your family anyway?
Not to be a downer, but even with the delay, this whole thing feels very rushed.
They didn’t change mentality, they just tried to last time
I mean I can understand the mentality for those whose literal job hangs on it, like yeah Limit and stuff who stream and are in the e sports scene. It sucks for them. For others though is definitely an exaggeration.
But that’s such a small portion of the population IDK if people care.
Sounds like a pretty awful system that could use a complete social overhaul then. Who knows, maybe this will be the impetus for people to finally do that.
So, you are in the mythic world first race?
Yes because that’s how that works, absolutely clueless. If I wanted to be subpar I would go raid in a 3000 world guild and never accomplish anything.
Yes, and many were relieved that they grew and updated to be more player friendly. This is a back track on something that once again, was met with incredible positivity. The thread is literally still up you can go read it yourself.
They make money off of playing. Do you really think people get 3 weeks off for Christmas? Maybe teachers… but the rest of the world knows how to balance responsibilities.
