Anyone else hate talanji?

Hate is a strong word, she’s just not as compelling a character as her father, who was a dead man the moment we learned he had a daughter they wanted to push.

I still think its funny that everyone is upset over a troll who only lore before this xpac is he is king of the trolls.

I couldn’t care less about that. He’s the one who had the focus and character development in the Horde levelling experience and so it was a shame to see him die and be replaced by troll Jaina.

no he didnt, that would be his daughter

I agree. I just felt it was worthwhile pointing out that power levels of characters like Nathanos and Sirra are likely to be significantly beyond what people have seen.

Rastakhan had some of the best cut scenes, and was probably the most relatable character we have seen in a long time.

From the extract I get a lot of hope this book will be at the very least good. Also this explain why Danuser Cringecaller isn’t around in the trailer of SL. I do hope to see Sira as some joke npc being tortured in the realm of Bwonsamdi.

Also I can’t wait to see the reaction of Golden reading this book was both sold and received better than her latest book

I don’t think that Bwonsamdi is so powerful, his strength is less the direct confrontation, he fights more sneaky, meaner, but also his opponent will not openly seek the fight with him but will strike from ambush.

So in the end it depends on who is faster. you won’t need tons of Valkyries for that, but it won’t be a man-to-man fight either, but a game in the shadows.

The same way players have been killing gods?

Goldens book was the bestselling when it comes to wow books, and critically acclaimed of as now, so its a high bar to break

He seems pretty directly powerful too. He did vaporize a bunch of blood trolls in Nazmir.

I also kind of suspect he is much stronger within his own realm than outside it. He didn’t seem keen on leaving his necropolis to fight Ateena.

But yah, it probably won’t be a direct fight. I Seriously doubt you can kill Bwonsamdi with a normal arrow but I imagine Nathanos isn’t showing up with normal arrows. Like I said, there will probably be some sort of artifact or ritual involved.

I don’t remember Warcrimes and BTS to be best sellers. Also the bar in wow is often very low compared to other fantasy books

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLERAn all-new, official prequel novel to The Battle for Azeroth , Blizzard Entertainment’s next expansion to the critically acclaimed World of Warcraft videogame.

yeah I know golden haters seem to not have internet
4/5 in almost every book website is bad too right?

The novel reached #9 on the New York Times bestseller list. It has been stated to be one of the best received novels Blizzard has released
https ://wow.gamepedia. com/Before_the_Storm#cite_note-InsideLook-16

Yeah, he killed a few blood rolls, fodder, but since Tyrande - Elune Depakel and Lichking - Sylvana’s fight, I doubt that Blizzard is able to really portray gods in a believable way and not let them end up as fodder.

So, for example 10-25 murder hobbos in Zandalar let him threw the trowel away, pretty quickly because he would have died otherwise.

The player character can do the same thing. A group of rogues were able to cull an entire region of night elves. Don’t do this to yourself. Any character can die to anyone at the writers’ whim.

Eh, Blizzard can be hit and miss with gods. Over all I feel they did a pretty good job showcasing the loa as being powerful forces of nature well beyond most mortal beings. They tend to go down to magical shenanigans like Zul’s trap for Rezan or the binding spell they caught Pa’ku in.

Raids are a different matter because it isn’t just 10-25 random soldiers, it is a collection of powerful heroes decked out in enchanted gear who represent the peak of their chosen vocation.

I also don’t think Bwonsamdi was trying all that hard to win. He kind of wanted Rastakhan to die to get Talanji.

That isn’t even slightly the same thing as exploding groups of people with a casual spell.

I dunno why everyone is jumping on me over this. I expressed minor disbelief that Nathanos and Sira can easily kill a death god, but at best I consider it a minor annoying story thread.

It doesn’t warrant several people trying to argue with me that Bwonsamdi is super easy to kill.

Obviously writers can do whatever they want. That doesn’t necessarily make it good writing.

Considering Fifty Shades of Grey is in one of those list I wouldn’t put much such regard on it.

While I agree Blizzard portray gods as very weak entities. Bwonsamdi was an exception of their rule as he was capable of fight and hold himself against a raid of titan slayers that has killed countless op beings.

Although I have to recognize that likely Nathanos is buffed to give some drama but considering even Sylvanas thinks of this as a wild gamble, that puts the Loa of Graves in a good state

So, and fifty shades of grey made so much money they made movies about mr. salty pants

Awesome, another pre expac novel in which Horde unity went to hell for no apparent reason!! And devoted to glorify the FOTM meme character to boot!!! (yes, Zekhan is but a ridiculous meme, deal with it).

And more of the less attractive aspects of good ol’ Nathanos personality traits, a shame.

At least is not written by Golden, so I guess we can be grateful for the few mercies (A.K.A no Blanduin/Tragicmoore saturation).
