Shadowlands book coming july 14

“The Horde is nothing!” With those infamous words, Sylvanas Windrunner betrayed and abandoned the Horde she vowed to serve. The Dark Lady and her forces now work in the shadows as both the Horde and Alliance race to uncover her next move, including her own sister, Alleria. Struggling to shoulder the crushing weight of leadership, King Anduin entrusts the void elf and High Exarch Turalyon to uncover Sylvanas’s whereabouts.

The Horde now stands at a crossroads. The various factions form a council, leaving the mantle of warchief to rest. Thrall, Lor’themar Theron, Baine Bloodhoof, First Arcanist Thalyssra, and many other familiar faces rise to this new challenge. But the threats are numerous, and the distrust runs too deep.

When the council is derailed by a failed assassination attempt on Talanji, the Zandalari queen and a key ally, Thrall and the rest of the Horde leaders are forced into action. They empower the young troll shaman Zekhan, still grieving the loss of Varok Saurfang, with a critical mission to aid Talanji and help uncover the rising threat against her.

Meanwhile, Nathanos Blightcaller and Sira Moonwarden have been tasked by the Dark Lady with a terrifying gambit: to kill the troll loa of death himself, Bwonsamdi.

As Zekhan and Talanji work to save Bwonsamdi, their journey will be a key turning point in bolstering the Horde against the coming darkness and finding themselves along the way. Failure to save their allies and the trickster god will surely doom the Horde, but through success, they may rediscover what makes the Horde strong.

waited for someone else to post it but doesnt seem like anyone knew about it, well at least seems to prove that bwonsamdi isnt working for the jailer or sylvanas

As if I need another reason to dislike Sylvanas…she’s trying to off Bwonsamdi!!

Oh dear. Spotlight on Sylvanas never goes well for her or the Horde.

i’m glad Sira is still with my Queen and haven’t been given to Calia.

Maybe they’ll make Turalyon more interesting in this book. Not holding my breath though.

Well this is interesting, people have wanted to see Anduin be tested for his leadership and this seems like the perfect opportunity.

Also, it has been a while since we have seen Alleria/Turaylon truly taken front and center. I am in.

Sorry for the double but it seems we have an excerpt: https://www.google.com/amp/s/blizzardwatch.com/2020/02/07/shadows-rising-warcraft-novel-shadowlands/amp/

People actually thought he would be? He’s a huge douche but he respects the balance of life and death. Without life there isn’t any death and that means no souls, he knows that. That’s a bit at odds with the jailer’s “all for me” approach.

But ugh, Sira. I hope she dies the death she deserves. Filthy traitor.

Hopefully they kill Sira off in the book.

I’m now suspecting Nathanos to be one of, if not the final, boss of the Other Side dungeon.

He is a boss in a 5 man so yeah

Probably not. Also hey new writer. Either people will give this a chance because of it or they’ll rage harder than with Golden.

It’s not one of those fights where you assist him or have to free him while someone else attacks you like Hakkar?

Madeleine Roux isn’t quite a new writer, as she is the author for the third Traveler book.

Hopefully they kill Nathanos in the book and Sylvanas early in Shadowlands*

I’m still smelling a Sylvanas redemption though and it doesn’t seem like the book will cover any of BfA’s plot holes. But I was spot on with my suspection that the novel will be Sylvanas only.

I’m also amazed that they didn’t even mention or include Tyrande and the Night Elves or Genn at all, seems like their story doesn’t deserve any conclusion/continuation. They are really following through with this whole ignoring the Night Elves and Teldrassil thing.

Maybe you just beat some sense into him, I dont think he is gonna die, not anymore anyways

I look forward to the day where we see a prequel novel that doesn’t involve Sylvanas as a main character role.

Or any appearance at all for that matter.

Syl trying to kill the bwomsandi? I already disliked her but now she wants to kill the smarmy loa of death? Wow plus sending those two to do it? Bwonsamdi has a lot of souls/anima powering him, I don’t see it ending too well for them.

Nathanos trying to off a god with his toy bow will be amusing. I hope bwonsamdi stomps his face in.
If the book comes out in July, can we expect Shadowlands to drop in September?

Also, I like Alleria and Turalyon but I wish Genn was involved as well. Worgen needs more representation
