Shadowlands book coming july 14

That doesn’t change the fact that humans successfully genocided one race to actual extinction.

Dude, log on a dwarf and do the quests. These trolls are of the size of a dwarf. How old they could possibly be? 3 years old?

Trolls who are usually twice the size of a human in here are of the same height as dwarf. AND we see them being calmed down by Soothsayers because they’re scared.

These are hands down the most vile quests in game to me.

Speaking of Shadowlands I am happy they are gonna include Iron Horde stuff in it as they said during blizzcon that “Garrosh went to shadowlands”

Yes this is true, but tyrande changed in character post eternity’s end, or well post hyjal.

I dunno what the two of you are talking about other than that :stuck_out_tongue: but yeah

in WC3 they did attack Darkspears, the first thing that Sen’Jin reports when he meets Thrall is “human problem”.

Humans were the race that violently expanded their territories and fought off every specie that previously occupied territory. And each time the excuse was that their enemies “were violent and evil anyway”.

Except they didn’t, because Ulfar says that the Drust that didn’t want to wage a war of extinction against the settlers lived alongside them and founded the Thornweavers together.

Those are similar to the people who say that Sylvanas deserves a redemption. Apart from that, she didn’t burn down a tree, she burned down tens of thousands of innocents.

I checked and there are only 3 drust left, then it means they’re pretty much extinct. You can’t recreate population out of 3 examples. Unless you have some source/ place that claims that Drust are still there kicking just fine.

Unless all Thorn speakers are Drust, but then devs stated that the payable Kul’Tirans aren’t drust nor they’re result of crossbreeding between drust and humans.

And even if we assume that all thorn speakers are Drust, then how many of them are left? Are they majority in their own country? They were genocided, their numbers were decreased to such a number they could never recover.

Yeah genetic diversity won’t allow for a population of three Drust to rebound with just the Drust species.

Humans effectively ended an entire race.

Most of the earlier zone mobs are significantly smaller than ‘normal.’ For example, the ogres in Duskwood are virtually the same height as humans. Calling them children is disingenuous.

It is not disingenuous, because Soothsayers are of the normal troll size. And we DO encounter Forstmane adults later on. These ARE a children. They’re called ‘whelps’ to not cause bigger alert, but Whelp means youngling someone who is not an adult.

Burning a tree intended to kill the majority of night elves.

So then undead don’t have free will? Scarlets were right to kill the forsaken?

The majority of night elves were on ships sailing to Silithus.

No, not even close. They didn’t send their civilians to Silithus and only a small part of the entire Night Elf population are soldiers. The rest are civilians which all died in Teldrassil, and most of the soldiers also died in Ashenvale and Darkshore.

They did not. Drust are theorized to be ancestors of some of the kul tirans. And we even see one treach druidism.

Old enough to actually wield weapons and attack you the player. Some select quotes from said whelps:

  • I gonna make you into mojo!
  • Killing you be easy.
  • My weapon be thirsty!
  • You be dead soon!

We dont know why they attacked though. For all we know the trolls hit first because the humans landed. All we know is they landed on the island and conflict erupted. Also, if you want someone you can blame Thrall, the Kul Tirans wouldnt even be on the island if not for having been forced to chase Thrall.

The only major ones they fought were trolls, gnolls and Drust who did attack them first.

At worse, humans did what every empire on Azeroth has done. The difference is they are currently winning.

I know we need to be careful about drawing parallels with real life, but child soldiers are a thing.

You’re not even (playing) a dwarf. Is it so hard to admit dwarves might be doing something bad?

No they aren’t. Gilneans are.

Show me one drust settleent. One. Because in my research I only found 3 declared drust. If there are only 3 representatives, then they’re gone as ethnic group.
Blizzard also declared that playable KT are not result of crossbreeding. If Drust number are this small to the point they don’t even have a single settlement, then they were genocided succesfully, as they’re unable to recover their numbers- ever.

Kids say many things, but what you should do is to do quests yourself. I DID THEM, you were told to spy on them and THEN you learn that they’ re trrified. You know what dwarf quest giver did when he learned about it? He laughed.

Sen’Jin said otherwise. And humans are known from violent expansion, this is how Stormwind was founded too. Then humans pressed further into Gurubashi territory which made trolls strike back.

That’s pecular because they came at least days before Thrall came, they already had a settlements on Darkspears isles and well prepared army. So either they really came much sooner than orcs even departed, or orcs really suck at navigation.

Yeah who could imagine for people to have a problem with tressspassing encroaching army to settle and take over your territories. How unreasonable for trolls and gnolls to attack them.

If we would reverse situation and big army marched throug their territories, settled in the middle of Elwynn forest and upon attacking decided to wipe out people that lived there you wouldn’t be that understanding.
Becuase this exactly how people react for orcs going to Ashenvale.

Really? I only recall humans, elves, dwarves to some degree and orcs pulling out a genocide.

True humans won, and history is written by victors sadly.

Warcraft, of all things has never allowed us to kill kids. Whelps refers to someone young, but not clearly not a child, at worse some 17-18 which apperently is what certain countries allow. Some states in the world allow kids as young 16, not state and not some illigitimate government by international standards.

The drust are vrykul. If the curse touched them as well a good chance many of their kids would end up human.

Okay, and the Kultirans are gilneans who sailed off to Kul’tiras.

If a troll who is usually twice the size of a human, is of the size of a dwarf then it is a kid. I’d expect for 7-10 year old troll to be of the size of human.

Really man, just do the quests and find it out by yourself. You’re not really doing youself a favour in guessing what it could be or what was not presented.
And game does allow us to slay younglings - usually these are just animals. And trolls were dehumanized to this point in this game. But that doesn’t change the fact that they’re a people and have kids, who were targeted by dwarves.
