When I press Arcane Explosion I expect an EXPLOSION not an ex.
I don’t get why they can’t just drop the whole stupid idea forget making it conditional for M+ just flat out drop it.
Like seriously lads there is a work around to this
You keep running and spamming your aoes instead of running around pulling as many mobs as you can to make a point
I’d like to highlight some abilities that will 2 bang a pack of mobs
A lot of classes will still be able to 1 bang a lot of mobs
How is this breaking old content. -looks at clip- I don’t see the health bar going down, resource bar seems okay. So that group of things will die. The problem is?
I really don’t see how that is a big issue. So you have to hit the mobs a few more times, it isn’t like the character is dying or even losing health there.
Monks aoe was actually already broken because you had to hit a number of mobs before you could even use the spinning bit as a WW.
Also, that guy, why would he run away when he still had two charges of spinning crane which would have killed the rest of them… the whole video is sort of fake news.
I think the issue all boils down to the. gotta go fast generation.
If we are not traveling at mach 3 or faster, it simply isn’t fun.
yep- nailed it. game designed increasingly by boomers for boomers. i read somewhere that the average player is a 35 year old dad or something
good grief kms if im stuck gaming at 35 instead of raising a family and building a career
They should have tried playing warlock and they have to do a lot of single targeting in those, not sure how it is now but for awhile you only had one instant case ability to use and that was restricted.
Honestly it has less to do with that, and more to do with trying to reduce the gap between a single target class in these situations and a aoe class. They are okay with classes clearly being better in specific situations but they are trying to make it so the level of outclassing that happens is a little smaller.
Then I’ll skip the trash like I normally do & head straight to the boss .
He is probably farming for transmog drops in there.
Which is fine, but you need to adjust the way you play the game when the way the game plays, changes.
When the GCD change happened at the start of BFA, folks who kept trying to force themselves to play their characters the same way they did in Legion were unhappy. They refused to adjust. The same thing is happening in this example.
Players are used to being able to gather up all the mobs and just AoE them down. Well in Shadowlands you can’t do that because of AoE caps (even casters that have larger AoE caps will face this problem). So players can either force themselves to play the game as they did in BFA and past expansions, at which point they’ll complain because they can’t kill things as quickly in old content. Or they can adjust how they play and not have any issues.
That video is sort of fake news though because that guy had 2 charges of spinning crane kick left and he might have killed the rest if he had used it anyway.
Only a couple of specs are currently capped and they aren’t reallly the problem.
It’s uncapped classes that stull struggle tremendously against the melee monsters of the game.
To address the imbalance between classes like Rogue, DH, DK, BM hunter etc that have ridiculous burst AoE cleave and classes like Warlock, Spriest, non-fire Mages etc
Not really, the slower and weaker AoE that is provided by those classes isn’t necessarily better.
Blizzard are trying to promote a situation where having an uncapped caster dealing slower AoE to a larger group of targets might be a better option than cleave melee dps who are better at smaller group pulls but kill them much quicker.
It’s questionable if it will succeed, but they have a pretty reasonablr reasoning behind why they are doing it.
Go in Prot for legacy content. No cap.
Wait. No cap in prot?
You know building a career and raising a family still has leisure time, right?
Pretty sure all the tank stuff is uncapped, because it’d be horrible otherwise.
Well this is blizz we’re talking about…so…maybe?
Yeah, that’s totally a fair point lol.
