I know when I Divine Storm I am like "man I wish this didn’t hit all these guys, that’s just bad gameplay.
You can even see the person’s damage done (I believe) in the meter to the right. I believe it’s in the millions.
I’m sure you said the same thing about this xpac
I always wanna give players like Wickedwahine the benefit of the doubt. If they are newer to this game, then it’s a fair assumption because on the surface, Blizzard is not just a triple A super-studio in the world of gaming, but they’re freaking Blizzard. “Blizzard polish”, etc.
Of course, if you’ve been here for the better part of the decade, it’s crystal clear how far this company has deviated from who they used to be and why alpha/betas dont fix anything.
No need to. Been playing this game for 12 years. Obviously something like this will be looked into but right now their priorities are with the new content; Shadowlands.
I don’t want to rain on the complain parade but if a monk wants to run old content he can spec brew, keg smash is uncapped.
Meanwhile, top 1%er “elitists” will simply… switch to whatever classes still have uncapped AOE in Shadowlands, as the rest of the game suffers from the “collateral damage” of this change
Just as the global cooldown thing, I’m pretty sure it has to do with server optimization, by having less stuff happening at the same time. One step more to go consoles/mobile.
Seems like an awful way to hamstring what the player wants to play.
And we’re talking Damage Dealers wanting to do damage, here, not healers to do do damage - if you’re thinking of strawmanning my position.
Some blizzard apologists would argue well it was the legendary effects not working at 116.
I would argue I was a late legion starter and had no massive legendaries (didn’t even have 1 for several runs long ago) to work with sooo…it wasn’t 116 legendary cutoff. that ilevel scaling monster bit harder as you leveled up.
And blizzard knew this. As their code looked in all your bags to see if you were sneaking away any good gear.
Look blizzard no 200 gear in my slots. Can you play nice now?
Whats in the bags player?
Well umm…this 200 ilevel item or 2.
Whats in your bank vault?
Ummm, how did that level 200 get in here. silly items.
Whats in your void storage?
Really? you are gonna look there?
Yes. yes we will…
Yes, scaling was utterly horrendous. Unbelievably bad, and I am not being hyperbolic. It’s like they threw out 13 years of tried and tested data out the window.
In the past, content felt harder as you got closer to cap. Which is the logical, tried-tested model. In BFA, my character got progressively worse and worse.
That clip is the most unsatisfying thing I have ever seen in my entire life.
Oh noes. It took him 9 seconds to kill them all instead of 2. The horror.
Agreed, when I saw the AoE cap at first I was so surprised because it is just making a big part of the game unfun… Mount farming, transmog farming, achievement farming.
No one
Absolutely no one
No one in the universe.
lv 20 player: What the hell!? Why didn’t you save me from the mass of mobs?
Tanks: Sorry, couldn’t get the aggro, I capped.
I swear that guy is always on his knees
3 things
What that monk is doing is stupid and just trying to prove a bad point
The games design will take the aoe change into consideration when creating content
And lastly blowing up packs of mobs hasn’t been anything out of the norm for a long time now - if you think detonating a spell in an old raid makes you feel like a god you might enjoy burning down ants nests
It should just be a mythic+ affix or something and not in the rest of the game if they are so worried about the meta for that.
