I looked up a word called fraud and yeah kinda seams like it because there no reason to take out the mount and put it in the BMAH. FTC will be notified even contracts cant break the law…

Its a digital mount you buy with digital money it isn’t fraud to remove it from your game you would have a leg to stand on if Blizzard said something like “The Brutosaur mount will always be for sale by the vendors” then they removed it but no they are just removing an item from the game it isn’t fruad.

So, how is moving the Brutosaur Mount from a vendor to the BMAH “fraud”?

I don’t think that was what the guy was talking about. I think he was talking about if they remove the AH part of the mount it could be fraud.

This would be an interesting test for the courts. People could buy the mount with gold, and blizzard sells gold via tokens, so if someone bought a mount using tokens, there could be an argument made that if they were to remove the AH component it could be a bait and switch situation.

I bet that argument would fly in the California courts.

trying to figure out where these people keep getting this idea that the AH vendor is being removed from the mount because that has been said nowhere and yet people are acting like this is common knowledge.

We want to be perfectly clear on this – we do not intend to remove the AH vendor from this mount, especially when some players put in a great deal of effort to acquire this mount specifically for that functionality. Of course, we remember that we removed the Mystic Birdhat’s Reforging from the Grand Expedition Yak, but that was because we removed Reforging from the game.

The Mighty Caravan Brutosaur is something that fundamentally alters players’ flow around the world, and it’s a unique convenience, but it’s certainly not essential. We’ve seen how luxury mounts like the Traveler’s Tundra Mammoth started out as something special and rare: a repair vendor wherever you are! They were originally ultra-exclusive and mostly purchased by guild banks for convenient raid use, but then became increasingly commonplace due to gold inflation over time.

We think that a moderate amount of gold inflation is healthy. It ensures that new or returning players can catch up and participate in server economies without having to put in a herculean effort to avoid being priced out of essential goods. In this case, we want to ensure that in the long run, years from now, we don’t find ourselves looking around and seeing AH mounts that are as common as repair mounts are today.

except it hasn’t been. at all. and has actually been refuted. if you’re gonna make wild baseless claims at least make them believable

I don’t understand. The thing is FIVE MILLION GOLD. Why not keep it in the game and give your mount-collectors a reason to continue playing? Putting it on the BMAH is going to make it go the way of the other mounts - either people max it out in the first 10 seconds it’s up and you don’t have a chance at it at all, or people aren’t going to bother sitting there trying to get something that’s now just as RNG/requires you camping the absolute you-know-what out of it, as any other mount on the BMAH.

Why cherry-pick one and not the others? Especially one that helps with the intention of being a ‘gold dump’? Seems 100% to me, to defeat the purpose. Some of these mounts continually get paraded out as in-game ones, only to end up being treated more like in-store ones?
