4% flat buff won’t be anywhere near enough. Shadow also needs a big buff to all of its dots as they’re doing nothing right now.
It makes absolutely no sense for a spec that barely has any mobility/CC/interrupts to have such poor raw damage output.
Please give Shadow the buff it needs.
I agree, I hit like a wet noodle and most the content this expansion is a complete nightmare to do for a Shadow Priest.
At least give shadow some additional utility that makes them more desirable in M+. I’ll take better AoE as well though.
The problem with Shadow is it’s actually not doing bad if you include PI in their dps as it can give up to 3-4% more dps to someone else.
The DPS of a regular damage class should not be reduced because it can buff another class. Probably almost no priest player would want to trade personal damage for buffs.
Sure, but how do you explain that to John Mythic who’s going to decline your application 95% of the time. Unfortunately, it needs to be more visible performance.
Which has been something I agree with since you’ve been able to give PI that not all shadow priest want to play a more support style, but sadly it’s designed that way and you can’t simply make them do 3-4% more damage than everyone after you account for PI else they would simply be better.
Which is also something I’ve talked before about PI if it was a %damage buff then it could be tracked and given to the priest but there seems to be also a lot of people happy about PI being not trackable and ruining those dirty parsers day.
Mages have a lot more utility + they have LUST, yet they do a lot more damage both cleave and ST and are much more mobile. Same can be said about Shamans

I agree. In certain content, some DPS classes are just not making the grade. Whether it is a buff, or just a skill issue with gear dependency is questionable. Either way, they were once highly sought after, and now they are looked over.
This is why I love my Arcane Mage. It is my only DPS caster. I also have a rogue, but not sure how I feel about them just yet. But all 3 Druids and all 3 Paladins are sitting pretty.
Sure you can. All these class reworks and priest still doesn’t have an interrupt. Remove PI and give healing priest the interrupt literally every other class in the game has.
I would gladly have damage nerfed by another 10% if the spec wasn’t so horrendously clunky.
Being heavily restricted on movement for the first full minute of a raid fight until all cds are finally out of the pipeline sucks. Inability to spread dots at will sucks. Mastery sucks.
You know there’s a problem when you don’t even get invited to low keys even though you’ve timed HIGHER KEYS lol.
Delete PI and give shadow appropriate dps buffs to compensate.

Pi is strong, but it’s not worthwhile if it means being looked over for more foundational changes and improvements.

Playing shadow even when using cds, still commonly half health or so.
At least buff renew for them. Or something.
I can’t speak on anyone else’s behalf, but I didn’t pick Shadow Priest as my main to buff other classes. I picked Shadow Priest to sacrifice mobility & CC for high raw damage output.
If I wanted to play a buff simp I would have picked Aug Evoker.
I’d like to see dot and apparition damage increased around 100% across the board. I would also like a PW:Shield shield buff. Our mastery is also trash.
Dot damage will never be good. Zero chance. They haaaaate it being strong on council fights or BGs. Even if that makes class balance unbearably awkward in M+.
