Would look bad if they would be T-posing on their pet krolusks now would it.
Immersion/Artistic purposes. Sadly, again, nothing to do with playability.
WoW models coded to co-respond with entire Spell Databse, that’s just how they are. That’s why there’s just few Animation ID’s for them, and most if not all humanoid races share the same animation ID’s.
Also holding Heart of Azeroth animation used in many occasions on many NPC’s, like sethrak holding their spell lightning or some object. That is not at all unique animation for player and sadly doesn’t indicate their playability either.
But it isn’t though? Why you making this stuff up? Everyone cares, the general audience cares, the players cares, the shareholders cares, the developers and the artists that makes these models cares, even the people who approve or disapprove these models before they getting added into the client cares, but you seem to not understand that. And, even little means they still have sexual dimorphism. Vulpera still have breasts, like it or not.
No they added them to fill the gaps and because they were really easy to add. You just needed to swap textures and slap new horn models on them.
There will be no playable “races” from Shadowlands because there are no races in Shadowlands. A big chunk of people you’ve seen in Covenant cinematics are Souls of those who died and took upon the form of their respective covenants. And those creatures who been born out of magic of Death(everyone’s favorite Owls) are cannot exist outside of shadowlands and without Anima.
So, why do they need mammaries besides male sex appeal?
And popularity wasnt a big concern. Void Elves, Zandalari, Kul Tirans, Dark Irons and Vulpera were very well recieved. Kul Tirans are an entirely new rig and get derided for being fat, so clearly sex appeal isnt a huge need either. People play Forsaken and they’re pretty unsexy as well.
When did I say we’ll get Shadowlands races? I said we’ll get an allied race. Doesnt need to be from the sky place.
It’s ultimately up to blizzard. They have stated there will be no allied races in 9.0. So we would ideally wait for 9.0.5 or 9.1 the earliest. They also have made the covenant races use the new playable model system. For better customization, but those can easily be made to be playable by us as well.
Note sethrak models are already playable right now (not via the selection screen or permenant) but there are ways you can use the model ingame, mostly rogues though.
“Why you making this stuff up? Everyone cares, the general audience cares, the players cares-”
No I fricking don’t. The vulpera vixens don’t have huge honking wonkers on their chest and they don’t need them to appeal to anyone because they have their cuteness as fennec foxes to do that already (Which hit a soft spot for me). You must’ve forgotten girls play this damn game too. :///
In seriousness, I liked them for the first few days, and then they made me remember why I never took a bodyguard out with me in WoD or Legion. Bodyguards in general need to have “passive” and 'move to this spot" commands like pets; it’s really nothing against the ankoan specifically.
I think Sethrak would make a good fit for WoW. I been wanting Naga so much, but I’d take Sethrak. Naga that can turn into Highborne would be a fun thing for me personally. But I think Sethrak would have a nice fandom, especially for people that dig the reptilians races.
I don’t know? It’s how it been with Blizzard games since forever. Why Queen of Blades, essentially an insect in human body, would need a very visible breasts? I don’t know, I will never understand that and you just trying to take me for someone who demands breasts rather than someone who explains why sethrak is near impossible to make it into playable state, and lack of sexual dimorphism is just one of the many reasons, but also one of the three main ones.
First, I will never understand that, because if you uncomfortable with the videogame model because of its alleged weight(even though, both pandaren and kultiran are falling under musclegut category, and they are really effing strong) then you need help. Just so happens that that “help” is needed to be delivered to all the manchildren that is also called General Audience I referred to many times.
It was, though. Void Elves for Blizzard was the only “legal” way to add Blood Elf models into Alliance without robbing Blood Elf players of their 10 year old privileges.
Kul tirans also is not on entirely new rig, they are modified models of Vrykuls, as well as Zandalari is modified rig of Zandalari from MoP, and Zandalari from MoP are modified Male Night Elf rig.
Dark Irons is long overdue popular request turned into different race so you would have more things to grind for, and the more things you grind for the more time you spend, and the more time you spend, the more subscription time you buy.
Easy math.
Two things that always make me think it isn’t possible for a race to be playable is that a.) they need to be able to equip/display helmets properly, and b.) they need to be able to mount.
I’d be apt to say that ankoan/gilgoblin would be a strong possible pairing, but I still hold out all hope for tuskarr.
