So every server up except like 5 or 6 low pop servers… and of course I play on one of them. Come on.
It is more than likely if they boot the game servers now, and let me assume because they don’t tell me anything either, but I have been in IT for 40 years, my experience with something like that was, here I am a sheep and the system just crashed, knowing that there is somewhat of a latency with saving your data of what happened in the game it will more than likely bring you back normal standing somewhere and if there are no dangerous mobs around you will be alive.
Yesterday, in AV I got disconnected and when I got back I was dead but did not beam to a GY nor could I move. I logged off just briefly and back on and I was standing there by the flag alive. Interesting indeed.

They have that service status subforum and it’s completely empty, how about some updates.

Trip over a cord, oh my goodness that got me laughing.
I don’t think it is that way I bet they have operators managing the systems, Game Master do not manage the hardware they only know how to manage the game.
System people do not always know when something blows up as we used to say at fedex, I have been on calls at 3am with “it was working and then it just stopped working” LOL, and then that is all I got to work with to figure out what is really wrong and find out it was that cord it just failed out of the blue and we had to replace it.
I was on call once and was hoping to stop at McD’s for some processed nuggets and I got a call and had to park in the parking lot and use my cellular laptop to log in from the car in the winter in a storm and get on the phone because we had a VP on the horn about an outage.
To make matters worse the manager of McD’s called the police and I had to talk to them at the same time when my vp said give to phone to the cop I have something to tell him, and then the cop said have a nice evening I will talk to the manager.
It is not easy trying to figure out what broke.

in case you’ve never experienced a launch…
expect problems.
expect lots of downtime.
…and assume that some no-lifers will entertain themselves by ddosing the servers.

Last update was servers should be recovering which seemed for most and orlyia went home for the nite.

I know especially blizzard is such a small indie company that doesn’t. Make millions and millions every quarter.

Any news on whats going on yet? are they working on this problem 1 account at a time? My brother is able to play and he is on the same server as me.
