Have there been any major rivalries between servers yet? I’d expect Grobbulus and Deviate Delight to have a rivalry considering they are the two main NA RPPVP servers. Any others?
I don’t think this was ever a thing. Who tf would care about what is happening on a server they don’t play on?

I remember the argent dawn and blackrock servers had a pretty bad rivalry back in vanilla/tbc

It was a thing as far as raid progression/world firsts went back in vanilla.
Thing is, since all content is known now, the competition for ‘best’ server isnt anywhere close to what it was back then.
And I’m on Grob so I feel I have some authority on this: We dont have any rivalry with DD, The servers are very good about nurturing their own internal communities and rivalries though.
I have a bunch on my own faction, for not colluding with the honor mafia. :’)

I remember seeing a fair amount of this back in the day after they added battlegroups; people would comment about how players from such-and-such server were bad at PvP, or their pre-mades were bad, etc. I got the sense that it often had stemmed from individual player rivalries, but I always thought it was a little weird.
I remember one time, I must have had some fluke lucky moment in a battleground, and someone in the BG whispered me and complimented me by saying that my success showed that my server was a good PvP server. I thought that was a very nice thing to say, but a somewhat strange compliment.
Wasn’t that due to server downtime and a lot of trolling by alts?
I member this. I too found it strange but then again like molecules do tend to clump together.
Too bad we can’t get that to happen with server balance and those actually seeking “balanced” wpvp.
ERP’ers did it but pvp’ers can’t seem to pull it off? 
We had lots of rivalries back in Vanilla. They were starting to brew in Classic but the release of cross realm BG’s killed all server community. At least in Vanilla with server only BG’s, the rivalries extended into battlegrounds, which made it WAY more fun than queing into randoms on cross realm.
Cross realm has killed all server immersion, servers are now pointless.

I recall the occasional PVE/PVP trash talking between Deathwing and Kel’Thuzard way back when, because those were the only two PVP servers in the Mountain timezone … but it wasn’t anything consistent.

LOL, yeah, whenever someone asks about a good server and RP-PvP is indicated, the Deviate Delight folk come swarming in bashing Grobbulus. The Grobb Mob is more chill, and are more likely to recommend trying both and deciding which you like.
If there are, I’d expect it to be things like private server players against streamers, or the like. Somewhere that large amounts of the population have some identity they think is relevant.
There is, obviously, the anti-Heartseeker crowd - all the Horde-heavy PvP realms whose targets took the free transfers.

I played on Frostwolf throughout original WoW, and it was my experience that we really didn’t have a rivalry with any other realms until the Ahn’Qiraj War Effort got underway.
Then suddenly we were all over websites that were tracking each realm, and people from other realms were in our realm forum taunting us, and so on.
Good times.

Most of that I see is from people who transferred off Grobb and are now happy on DD.
Like me, for example. Grobb is a hellhole. I was there.
I wouldn’t call it a rivalry, so much as just friendly advice. Same way I’d advise people to stay away from New Jersey 
I’m guessing that stupidity is due to you being a discord AV cheating player
