I never see anything about what kind of talent is getting hired. I wonder if thatâs because theyâre doing what my current employer is doing, where they just spread the workload across an increasingly overburdened crew until the whole ship collapses, or if itâs just not salacious enough for a forum post.
This is the main why 9.1 is so late there is low morale at Blizzard and most people are jumping ship.
LITERALLY UNPLAYABLE
Thatâs a truly impressive array of emojis
actually it now is, they know they can get away with it so expect more delays moving forward?
hah
The writing on the wall must be pretty clear in there right now
Im not that cynical.
If you believe what you wrote then more power to you.
I dont agree with it.
Donât worry, Iâm sure upper management wants as many young, impressionable and desperate developers as they can find. Thatâs usually whatâs going on when you see an exodus of senior staff like this
Lore murder has happened since BC - please donât spit this nonsense.
Youâre not wrong in the lightest about that. People have widely ranged reasons for leaving. It just raises brows when big titles or specific employment positions in leadership are dropping like flies from the company. People will speculate as they will⌠but it always feels disheartening when you find out people are quitting by buckets full.
This expansion alone has seen drops of big names. The Art Director is gone, The Lead Quest Designer is gone. I believe (nearly) all the original founding names of Blizzard is gone. Community Moderators been laid off. Iâm honestly convinced Blizzard Entertainment might be a shallow husk of what it once was in the next 2-3 years if this keeps up.
Blizzard is 30 years old. It sucks when people leave but⌠Yeah. If theyâre a founding member of the company theyâve been there for thirty years. It makes sense to want to move on.
I mean, sure. Thirty years is enough for retirement. But I reckon that most businesses tend to sink hard once the reins are passed down to ineptitude.
Going to have to obliterate an entire allied race to make that work.
i mean letâs be real. None of them were/are doing a good job because this is the worst state the game has ever been in.
Working anywhere for 15 years takes a toll, and moving away to a new project can reignite passion and purpose.
Something we donât know, is how many positions they had in each of these departments - if there is only like 4 people making quests and 1 leaves obviously the impact is much greater than if it was a team of 10+.
I hope itâs the latter case, and people are primed to move upâŚbut given the cuts, Iâm actually doubting that.
Good riddance. All it knew was !?, !? !?, !?.
we can just make them stay existing through the same bullcrap that made wod exist, plus reassign them to the magâhar in outland
Youâre right. All the devs are irreplaceable. Nobody else in the world would like to have their jobs.
