Which is exactly what happened in Classic with everyone switching to engineering. That guy was just a melee reaching for excuses to not fix what obviously should be fixed.

Probably because everyone expects it to be fixed. If blizzard came out and said it wont be fixed, you can be damn sure that every melee (and likely hunters too) would immediately rush to power level engineering the same way that virtually every melee did mid Classic for sappers and then every mage did for AQ/Naxx for dragonlings.
well I think the difference is that sappers are really only useful for clearing trash (except a few minor cases on bosses), whereas chickens are huge for boss fights and can trivialize dps and gear checks.
Lol @ all these parsers with cheesy cheezel dust all over their fingers trying to justify bad game design that in other areas the exact same problem has been fixed, it’s only not fixed now due to blizzards incompetence.

not to mention how frustrating it is to not have known how strong chicken meta was going to be and having to drop engi because you went goblin only to relvl to 230 to go gnome and drop engi again to relvl back to 375 for goblin because there’s no engi respec in the game like bs/alch
Just make it guaranteed proc, non-stackable, and cause a tinnitus like debuff. Fixed.
Just leave it as it is and move on. If you want to use chicken, good. If you don’t want to use chicken, also good. If your guild requires it, and you don’t want to do it, change guild. It’s not mandatory to beat any boss.

Chicken (just like drums was going to be) is pretty annoying and slowly becoming not a requirement but a huge bonus. It really should be changed just like what was done to drums. Make it unique or not usable for people over 63, it’s a vanilla item…
Man the chicken is not fun and unique, it’s dumb and pigenholes players into being engi. In order to do the dumb chicken thing I’d have to drop BS since my other prof is already LW for drums.
Remove world buffs, remove chicken. When it comes down to it, the chicken is simply not fun, its just as toxic as rallying cry and trib buffs.
Not to mention the content is blatantly not tuned around them, just like world buffs.
Here’s an absolutely wild concept, don’t use it if you don’t like it.

IDK, I think it’s good that things from pre expansion can remain relevant. It’s pretty niche and you don’t “need it” to finish the game. It’s not as noxious as world buffs.
