You should be happy that you have the option of using chickens to ease progression (for one attempt every 20 mins lol not a huge deal). It’s certainly not going to provide game breaking levels of dps but it might help you burn through a phase where you struggle.
If your guild has such bad dps that you think on you need to re roll engi for vashj p3 then just disband already
4 leatherworkers chaining ilvl 73 drums = 5% haste … DEEMED TOO STRONG & NERFED.
5 engineers popping ilvl 45 chickens = 25% haste

I’ve yet to ever one used in crusade raids.

I admit that I use chickens because it’s so powerful. That’s why I see more guilds asking their phys dps to switch to gnomish, locking them into a profession just like drums would have done, except chickens are actually good.
There is no way this is an intended part of the game. If you don’t think its overpowered, you are bad at maths. It’s literally a haste pot that lasts 4 mins that stacks with drums, lust, haste pot etc. For fury warriors this means more rage generation which means even more damage.
Very easily fixable by nerfing the guaranteed proc and making it a haste rating that scales down from lvl60. IE like what they did with Kiss of the Spider.

Another example of picking and choosing what to fix / change, without any consistency. This is the exact reason why I’ve given up on raiding in classic, all competition is based around lame cheesing tactics rather than class and raid mastery and execution.
Hopefully the 1 dev changes this and all other cheesy exploits, especially on SoM. I have very little faith given Blizzards handling of this sort of crap thus far.

It was never deemed too strong, it was changed because people didn’t want to feel forced into LW. People aren’t really being forced to re roll engineer for chickens since most players already have a maxxed trade skill
Not true at all. I have seen many people reroll their profession just to get chickens and I have personally witnessed guild’s ask their raiders to reroll to gnomish.

It sounds like a you problem.
Plenty of guilds don’t care what your profession is. Go and play with them.
Cool story. That doesn’t mean at all that it is widespread. I am in a top 75 world guild for speed runs and no one has been forced to re roll. The people that did, were going to for the next phase anyway. And engineering is still the best overall profession even without the chicken.
Should just make it not work above 63 like world buffs since it’s a classic item.

When we hit t6 content the chicken tsunami will make drums look like a teaparty. Better to nerf now before it becomes crazy.
