Well I also play your class and saw PvE server… figure you were maybe a 60 parser coping since that’s like 90% of these forums.

This is absolutely nothing like drums because drums were going to require party swapping mid fight entire fight and be incredibly annoying.
People are still pretty much required to be LW until the range is 40. My group for instance has 4 LWs in it because the range is so crap. So they didn’t really fix anything.
You can’t swap into a chicken especially not mid fight.
5x squawks is a 500 dps boost for a fury warrior in full p2 bis with an ideal raid comp. If you don’t believe me go to fight club and run the sims. The chicken lasts 1m50 sec and you can power word shield it to not die before phase 2 of vashj btw.
If you think it’s not that big of a deal, why are you using it then? Because it gives you a competitive advantage and you don’t want to give it up.
Of course? Why am I using sappers… because they do damage. Why would I enchant my rings? Because stats are super nice. Why would I make my BS mace? Because it’s really really good.
It’s part of having a profession my dude. Using the items we get for more dps.
And okay… so we are prepopping on vash, using 5 shields on them to make it to p2, for possible squawks? Shields only last a short time and don’t absorb a ton so we need to chain focus them. Lol. Oh yeah and we are a prog guild per your words so focusing on healers keeping them up instead of bubbling players.
Taking so much “perfect scenario” including your terrible use of Sims which are the definition of “perfect scenario” and playing them out to all 500k people in the game. Again, overreacting.
The difference is that sappers are intended to be in the game. Chickens are not intended to work like they are now. Further more they arent the right level so squawks are easy to get. Compare it to the arcanite dragonling which blizzard has made lvl 55 at the moment but not the battle chicken (oversight?). The dragonling does not proc.
You can’t honestly think that getting guaranteed 5 stacks of chickens using the strategy in simonizes video is intended or true to tbc.

For the record, prog guilds aren’t using chickens to kill bosses. Stop trying to demonize a fun product of a useful profession.
They aren’t using it because they don’t know how good it is yet. It took many casual guilds (even my own) up until AQ40 before they realized that world buffs were so powerful. This is how the meta forms. It starts with top parsing guilds and individuals and filters down to casual guilds. To the point where casuals feel forced to use it or risk their raid slot.
There is nothing fun about chickens, wtf are you on about. You just want to do more dps without getting better at the game. Why not just have blizzard give you a 100% damage buff at the start of the raid? Does that sound like fun?

I want chickens because I specifically went out of my way to go gnomish specifically for the trinket. Now you want it patched out because “omg it’s not fair!”
You just admitted you are a casual player… why don’t you try enjoying the game and stop policing what other people do. Maybe you’ll find wow at least somewhat pleasuring that way. Or better yet go play retail where everyone is literally the exact same.
Well my guild has been 10/10 ssc/tk since week 2 so I wouldn’t exactly say we are super casual, neither are we hardcore.
I main as fury warrior and I use chickens every week in raid and I hate using it and so does everyone in my raid. I also hated getting wbuffs every week but we did it to make the boss fights quicker and easier. If chickens werent so powerful it wouldn’t be a problem we could just be goblin engineering for sappers and call it a day.

Seriously this, Drums were changed for the sweaty players who felt forced to go LW for the sake of keeping a raid slot. Melee players already have it a rough and engineering isn’t exactly a cheap profession, this needs to get the drums treatment before people feel forced to go engineering.

Enhancement shamans cast 40 times per minute. The only class higher is prot warrior. I check a lot of logs because it’s an incredibly complex spec and like to see how people play it.
2 button rotation? Oh nevermind makes sense you play ele. Makes total sense LOL.
Also engineering is one of the cheaper professions, assuming your other options are blacksmithing? Yeah good luck. Engi costs about 1500 where BS is around 4k.

Pre-nerf drums only required 4 people for 100% uptime what are you talking about swapping groups. Chickens literally make it so 5/5 people in phys groups need engi instead of the 4/5 for drums. This is the exact situation as drums.

Sounds like Chicken needs a nerf. It also doesn’t work on cast speed so it’s even more toxic as it only benefits melee in world buff area.

yeah, and funny enough a dude from his guild just commented above lol. They were super pro chicken when it was secret tech and only t hey were doing it. Now that everyone knows about it they want it removed lol. Funny how that works.
You can have your group all pop chickens in phase 3 of vashj and get instant squawks. It does mean you use up a trinket slot, but the dps you gain from it surpasses any other trinket by miles.
Essentialy you can bypass dps checks with chicken.
Eh, I don’t buy it. Maybe in a perfect world but that assumes everything happens 100%. So much of your damage comes from p1 and ogre suiting the big guys. Punting a trinket slot for 6 minutes is wild.
Look at the guys top parsing. Top 100 warrior parses on vash only 4 have the chicken on for the whole fight. DST and brooch or badge is just way too powerful. The next 100 parses only 5.
So that’s 9 of the top 200 parses using chicken the whole fight. I’m sorry but that hardly the bis trinket option “by miles”
