I’m all for them adding the book mount to the store, as long as they also add the Brutosaur to the store as well for those of us who didn’t want to put in the effort of grinding gold to buy one when it was available.

It looks like a mage thing. My mage uses the zealous felslinger mog that goes with the felsteel annihilator mount, so she doesn’t need a book mount.
Same. This is ridiculous how GATED rewards are in this game. I understand challenging content. But I don’t understand nor do I want to understand class imbalances or faction favorites that this company continues to peddle.
This is why I play Guild Wars lol I love buying weapon looks and transmog out of the yin yang lol

Like many players, I enjoy casual content. I pay my subscription fee to do fun, light, easy content that feels rewarding and engaging. Like many players, I play exclusively on role-playing servers and I role-play my characters.
Challenges are simply not a part of World of WarCraft for me. I do not do them. I am not interested. I never have been. And so, bypassing challenges does not diminish the content I have on my plate because I was never going to partake of that content anyway.
So, what I’m going to do with the mount is enjoy it. I’m going to fly around on it, be pleased with how cool it is, enjoy swooping in on RP scenes mounted on a book so that my Loremaster title pops. I generally don’t AFK in Orgrimmar, but there’s a decent amount of RP to be found there on my server.
If the point of collecting mounts was the journey towards collecting them, then actually obtaining a mount would be a letdown. I collect mounts because I love mounts. I will skip all the journeys, trials, tribulations, and tasks whenever possible, because I have much more fun using zero-effort mounts that I have obtained over the harder-to-get ones.
I hate misrepresenting myself. When I ride my PvP mount, people think I’m a PvPer. I’m not. I’m good at PvP, so when I tried it in WoD, I got the mounts. That doesn’t mean I enjoy it or want it to be part of my gameplay experience. The only PvP I actually like is ganking, and I don’t camp anyone because I’m not going to risk an encounter with their alt. Since Warmode was introduced, I haven’t even ganked anyone because I’ve literally never turned Warmode on.
So when I ride those mounts, it send the wrong message. That’s why I don’t use them.
If I obtained the MT book, I would have the same problem. But the message sent when I ride a store mount is, “I spent $25 on this, isn’t it cool?” and while you are free to agree or disagree, the statement it makes about me is accurate. I did spend $25, and I do think it’s cool.

Remember when folks accused Blizzard of saving cool mounts for the store only and not having anything cool in game? Now we have come full circle - OP begging for the store to have the cool new mount, lol. How the turntables.

The book should also be 800$, since it requires equivalent in-game effort to obtain as brutosaur did.
Fine by me. Money is no object. In fact, I’d love to see a $10,000 mount on the store assuming its design was something ridiculous like a freakin’ Protoss Mothership or something.
So, based on the feedback I’m reading here, a new book mount for the store is a GO.
Come on, Blizzard. Implement this ASAP.
They should troll us and make it a children’s book mount with little dinosaur pictures.

I want the slime kitty mount on the store. I’d pay $50 easy. I want it’s mount special to chase a laser, like the toy. Maybe even change slime colors over time like the quest in maldraxxus to summon the mount chance.

Honestly, I’m getting tires of the thousand and one mounts and their recolors. They need to go back to “here’s some rare drops from instances or world bosses and here’s your mounts you can buy at exalted.” And just be done with it. No more paragon crap. No more systems rewarding me a thousand recolors.
