This was honestly just something I thought we’d have to deal with. Thanks for that. It’s small but it makes a difference.
they will cry nonstop about how paladins exist and have bubble though
Sure, but dont you think thats the non-vocal members of the community quitting in droves right now instead?
This goes into another topic entirely, but i see what youre saying. But since the vocal minority are the minority, i think it’s better to cater to the majority from a business sense, and the majority are never going to even read these forums lol.
If people are quitting due to horde being better than ally in pve though, that just sounds like they want classic to be retail 2.0. There’s always been a PVE imbalance in classic.
I agree shamanistic rage should be nerfed, but again, only the vocal minority care. Thats all I was saying.
Why move skull bash to hand?
What was you thinking?
Ummm, yeah. They need to do a partial revert on the rockbiter nerf is what I’m saying tbh.
Looks like they were thinking choosing between mangle and skullbash is a better choice than between mangle and lacerate.
Back to riptide i go
so when can mages just living bomb people and watch it deal 50% of the HP?
Clearly blizzard didnt think ele was weak considering they nerfed overload?
Shaman is beyond over tuned in their base class utility in both pve and pvp
how are they over powered tanks? the only thing they had going for them was aoe, single target is in line with the rest of the tanks, we literally had to go full SP and go down the ele tree to even contend. the only raid utility we bring is strength totem and either WF or agi, thats all. cant speak to pvp
…that’s the beginning of the domino effect. It’s subtle. (We don’t know how many are quitting/rerolling/managing two factions until they fully switch over. They’re non-vocal, but the motivations to do these things are in place with the disparity.)
According to everything I have heard, Horde is better than Ally in PvE in retail.
Look, once the tipping point is reached, there’s no going back. I get it, you think this problem is low priority, but when you finally see that it’s a high priority, it’s over. That’s it.
Shaman TANK aoe AND single target dps is higher than classes that actually are DPS …
???
even the highest end of warden doesnt come close to a dps
What a monumentally stupid decision.
Just make mangle and lacerate one rune. What even is the point of skull bash now? Can’t take it as cat to have a kick/dash in pve or pvp cuz you NEED Mangle. Even though it was a terrible garbage rune, making it a dead rune was not the way to fix it.
Yes it absolutely was OP in single target to be hit by a shaman for 300 dps and they didn’t even need to attack to do it. It’s honestly still too strong at 3 seconds.
are you intentionally skewing your point by classifying all shaman tanks as warden and not the ones skirting WCL reqs getting logged as enhance? maybe i just dont understand
It’s not that bad of a choice, since you only need 1 druid with mangle in the new meta of powershift-shred everything
Thts how it works even without the rune…
Shaman main here. I very much disagree with the way in which Overcharge was nerfed. Tanking as Shaman in phase 3 has been the best feeling version of Shaman so far. With Overcharge and the other P3 runes helping with threat, we have a lot more opportunity to cast other spells(totems, spot heals, Maelstrom procs, etc.) that make Shaman tanking feel unique to other classes.
I understand that the rune was too strong in PvP, so perhaps a better change would be to keep the internal cooldown the same, but reduce the damage dealt, and increase threat generated. From my perspective, this would satisfy both PvP and PvE players, without changing the current playstyle of the P3 Shaman tank.
