Throughout the beginning of phase 3, we’ve closely monitored in-game progress, feedback from the community, and bug reports.
With scheduled weekly maintenance next week, we’ll make the following class adjustments.
Druid
Starsurge no longer consumes Clearcasting procs from Omen of Clarity.
Skull Bash rune moved to the Hands slot (was the Leg slot).
Lacerate rune moved to the Leg slot (was Hands).
Lacerate threat increased substantially.
Paladin
Light’s Grace rune moved to the Bracer slot (was Helm).
The mana return of Seal of Martyrdom has been increased significantly.
Rogue
Focused attacks now generates 3 additional energy (up from 2)
Shaman
The Internal Cooldown for Overcharged has been increased to 3 seconds
Warlock
Life tap now grants mana return to warlock pets as well
Unstable Affliction’s damage has been increased by roughly 120%
Warlocks with Metamorphosis active and the Master Demonologist talent will now gain increased threat generation when they summon an Imp or Felguard (was decreased threat generation).
Warrior
Victory Rush heal increased to 30% of the Warrior’s health (was 10%).
oh boy… UA does around 300/350 per tick non crit. now its gonna be 620/770ish. +1,300ish when it crits. @bowzo get ready to ask for affliction warlocks nerf
that shaman nerf literally just reduced our lightning shield damage by 50% for bosses, which was around 30% of our total damage to bosses. we’ll do less than mage healers now, we literally have to gear full spellpower to be able to hold threat, now this? actually just killed the class, good job, im done
I just cant imagine a spell that needs a 120% increase. Remember when they buffed starsurge by some ungold amount and it broke the game for a month and change?
Overcharge was insane but this seems excessive. The ability was NOT OP in single target and this is a blanket nerf. Something like a 2 second icd would reduce AOE dam but wouldn’t impact ST threat since average boss swing is around 2.3. Please consider tweaking this a bit or doing something to the phys tank build to compensate. We relied on Overcharge for a lot of our threat after the (justified) nerfs going into the phase.
edit A potential nice change would be to make it able to still proc on dodge/parry so we can build any amount of avoidance without kneecapping our threat.
this is a nice start to the mountain of balancing changes needed to Paladins and Shamans.
And finally nice to see Lacerate get fixed, though I’m not so sold on the Skull Bash tweak - it’s still going to be a tough thing for feral to provide kicks and their rotation with it.
