The ideas they had for pvp in principle were good. Having a huge central pvp zone where you could go and battle over things seemed like a nice idea. But the only times I tried it either no one was there or I was completely smashed by higher geared players. Im not into pvp so it was easy to ignore it. The questing is amazing, the zones are nice although Ive heard the raids arent that great (have never done any myself).
I actually started in Beta and bought it the day it came out. It was so buggy and filled with bots I stopped playing for a couple of years, and I go back now and then just to relax there for a bit.
Not all of us have played the entire game’s lifespan and raised hardcore, or at all.
This isn’t recycled content for many many casual WoW players.
its so laggy now with the new update the lag has spilled over in to trials and dungeons eso pvp is pretty much dead.
This is not true at all. Most of the xpacs have had a X.3 patch and that patch has had a new raid and a new dungeon.
But Magic is actually a good game and can be played offline and your cards remain relevant in casual.
If I don’t want to do a 31 boss tier……I’ll just not do it. It’s this insane mentality that all content MUST be consumed quickly that is the issue.
Some of us can run ragefire chasm again or nighthold precisely because we didn’t burn ourselves out on it.
If I’m at a party and someone brings snacks, I don’t complain about being compelled to eat them or that it’s their fault I already gorged myself on snacks prior to the party. I just eat them, or don’t. And move on.
People used to park characters at old content max levels with their xp off and do dungeons and raids. There were PvE twink guilds that did this. I guess blizzard didn’t like this, so that end content has been made harder so they are now only for high level characters farming transmog.
It also allows newer players to experience the raid at an at par ilvl. If you miss a raid tier you will never experience it again as it was intended. So that experience is self is a nice option to have.
If you already did the raid then you already have the experience. I do miss doing some old content/dungeons raids. It’s weird how each new patch we basically have less content to do especially raids. So them reusing and giving people reasons to do them if they want is nice. It is a game after all. They already made these dugeons and raids. If you want to experience them at a sort of at part difficulty it is nice and something I wish past expansions had.
Naxx was fun for a bit. I didn’t realy try ulduar in wotkl.
Right now I wouldn’t mind pugging raids if it meant i get chances at transmog.
I wonder if they will consider doing this for lfr too. Since I still have a bunch of transmog to collect in older tiers. It would be nice to give people a reason to do these such as tokens we can use to buy armor pieces and transmog sets from the raids!
The issue is that “better” isn’t the same for everyone. Just take this thread for example.
Blizzard has made so much content over the 20 years. It’s weird how only a few dungeons/raids are even playable at par level. So I don’t mind this.
My only complaint is the removal of shadowlands dungeons from this. I think the new affix could include old dungeons. I love that idea, but I also hope they keep the shadowlands dungeons as options for the last season. Since this is the best time to experience them during it’s own expansion. They don’t need to give it the new affix, they could let us pick the shadowlands affix we want to try. Seasons 1-4. I think that would be neat. I personally liked the season 2 affix. I wouldn’t mind picking my key to be season 2 for this last season, and let me use anima powers in dungeons.
Also without a new raid it doesn’t really matter much since it’s the end of the expansion. The new expansion usually has a gear reset unless they plan to change that in the next expansion. People will still be able to enjoy season 3 with SOD being the only raid they have.
Lol this.
“Let’s add older raids give people something to do”
Community: I AlL REadY DiD ThIs BlIzZaRd!!
Blizzard: “Here’s new content to do”
Community: " I NoLifEd ThIs ConTenT iN 48 HoUrS Of StRaIGhT PlAy AnD NoW iTs DoNe!!!"
Blizzard: “OK so we made this content harder”
Community: “I NoLifEd It FoR 48 HoUrS ItS ToO HaRd NeRf It!!!”
Bunch of potatos.
How many of them will be raiding if there’s no content until, oh lets say March, 2023. I would wager that they still will be raiding, just not under the Warcraft IP.
I bet there will be achievements and mounts.
I’m not going to make a list of all the bad takes you have on here, so I’ll just sum up: None of your arguments make any sense at all.
You go from complaining about it adding too much content, to saying they farm out achievements and mounts to the end of the expansion, to saying they use the end of the expansion to take off and recharge.
Blizzard is finally listening to their players. They might not be listening to you, but then you are also the guy who kept saying how amazing Korthia was and how players are wrong for not liking it… followed by quite literally most of those players quitting the game over how terrible it was.
Consider: You might be completely and absolutely wrong again.
Gonna be real here, I like being able to reuse old raids? It’s fun to revisit stuff and it keeps it fresh having variety. Timewalking raids are fun but the big issue is the gear ilvl isn’t competitive, so this would fix that, what’s wrong with that? Let’s them focus dev efforts on extra stuff while giving us content
its a bandaid to help keep you doing things so the whole team can deliver 10.0
yea i think it is too, keep on paying the same sub fee, but get less content than we get in the last 10 years.
Season 4 is a testing ground on how they can rehash old content for 10.0 worldshaping with a mix of season of mastery from classic.
Think diablo 3 and seasons, game doesnt change just the systems do.
Castle Nathria & Sanctum aren’t recycled content? You don’t need to have played “the entire game’s lifespan” to have done Sanctum. It’s a raid that was still current last month.
Let’s just recycle the whole thing, then. How about another 2 years of Shadowlands, for those who missed it? That’s what you’re suggesting, after all.
Then we can have the following expansion for 2 years, and then repeat it for another 2 years after that, eh?
I think it’s fine for end of the expac content draught.
I do think they picked some of the worst/trolly dungeons though.
My suggestion take all of the trash packs out of raid instances for season 4
I mean look at movies these days: everyone has been doing remakes of remakes. And if the actors are too expensive they just turn it into low budget animation.
There are tons of reused resources in WoW. Put a different coat of paint on this at a boulder there to an existing cave. change the fog color.
I swear that one cave with the circle stairs and the pit in the center and a two wings off the left and right has been in every single expansion of this game. In fact I’m pretty sure all the caves have been reused.
Maybe next expansion will be all underwater, under lava or low gravity. Better yet they hand us a shovel and we have to dig it out
