I always hated this idea.
If it’s a one-off to stave off content drought while we wait for the new expansion, that’s okay by me.
But again.
I am not raiding Molten Core in 2022 for my bis.
lmao.

complain if they do nothing, and complain if they do something, you wonder why they decided to “NOPE!” the forums for a couple years, there’s no winning with you entitled blizzard babies.
Different camps. I wouldn’t be complaining if they did nothing, in fact I’ve been saying this entire expansion that Shadowlands has way more content than I’ll probably be able to get done. I have plenty to do, a “season” of doing the raids again that we’ve just finished isn’t a cool bonus, it’s an irritant.
would you rather there be nothing for the next year at all? or are you allergic to the notion of taking a break? far as i can tell you need a break, as do all of the negative nancys on this forum.
I like the idea, I like running old content.
I don’t like the thought of “new season? Gotta start grinding Gruuls for a 3ilvl upgrade to my DST again” like someone mentioned in the thread.
It would be really cool to have the ability for a true BIS list though, with every piece of gear in the game upgraded to current ilvl. However the logistics of that doesn’t sound doable because then people are going to be running an obscene amount of raids/dungeons.
I for one don’t mind systems, but blizzard hasn’t learned how to do them well yet.
Azerite wasn’t bad in concept, except it was endless. Every moment on an alt was lost power to a main.
Anima, soul ash, and soul cinders wasn’t a bad concept, except it was a timegated trickle. Anima itself, needing tens of thousands, trickled in units of 5, literally kept you from enjoying the covenant side games. Renown, 3 a week… after 9 weeks I had 27 renown, before my 10 months of unsubbed.
Pathfinder, again, ground pounding for months, and the maw you couldn’t even ground pound… literally on foot.
What was the hardest part of pathfinding? Waiting on Blizzard to write a patch.
Timegating so slow, I’d rather just play the catch-up system.
I would rather have the usual winding-down period we get at the end of each expansion, where we can catch up on unfinished business and recharge our batteries for the next expansion.
A raiding guild that stops raiding is a raiding guild that dies.
My goodness. Having been called a Blizzard shill for the past year and a half, I’m going to have to change my registration card, I guess.
you’re in a raiding guild? no wonder you’re so negative, i’d be negative too being with a bunch of pugging pricks all day long.
Lol I’d say the issue with the content is not reusing old content it’s the m+ model where it encourages you to farm the game 24/7. It’s dumb to just let GREAT dungeons from the past never get used again. This is a great idea to bring 'em back.
Timewalking dungeons and raids have been in the game for over a year longer than you have.
If the preview or official launch information does not indicate a 100% new and original expansion with no, or very minimal use of old content, then I will have finally subbed for the last time and this games stranglehold on me will be over.
I’m already right there on the ledge. All I need is for them to push me over the edge with a single finger poke.
Also if they don’t show an inclination to be moving things more account oriented versus character oriented then I might be out as well. I am so tired of grind after grind on alt when all I want to do is jump on an alt, have the storyline done, reputations farmed so I can jump right into pew pew and gearing and transmog farming and having fun.
What we need is less systems and more content. What content? More raids. Easy ones and harder ones per patch. More stuff like jailers gauntlet. Even Torghast would have been fine if they had an awesome grind and reward system involved with it and stacked torghast with fun loot.
Make more mage tower challenges and come up with unique really awesome transmogs, weapons, enchants and mounts.
Make a solo progression system with the normal dungeons like M+ but solo only not group content and make it so you can grind out really nice mogs and titles and mounts to show off.
Start innovating again and create something fun like new enchant effects for shoulders or shields. More glow or shimmer effects.
Imagine if you didn’t spend 2,000 development hours making covenants, something hardly anyone wanted and instead made like 5 different raids per patch, and 3 or 4 solo content things like jailers gauntlet. Have some raids and solo content that are easier and reward fun items. Reserve some of the sweeter gear and mogs for harder Content.
Then make everything account bound so that you can jump into alts. I honestly think people would spend so much time playing just because it was fun not because it was a gimmick.
Hopefully some dev reads this and takes something away from it
So basically what GD has been asking for for 15 years.
How is this a problem?
They should do this with all the old content. hell expand LFR to include all raids at cap and add tanking healing rewards for them as well. Wow has a goldmine of old content, I would buy all the wow tokens I could to get Brutosaur mount if it was back on its original vendor for 5 mil, they could even jack it to 10mil I would buy it, but it was gone when I came back from a break.
If they made a better game there’d be no problem.
Yet here we are.
eso doesnt block its player base from doing any dungeons with a score from a 3rd party site like wow does.
any player in eso can queue for any dungeon in eso this isnt the case for wow m+
Blizzard:
“How about we recolor an entire tier”
are you certain? considering how this forum is AND has been for years, i for one am not so sure. in fact i firmly believe that people want to on this game and they’d on it even if it was outstanding. yes there are things that suck about Shadowlands, the Story sucks and the Lore has been used to wipe Danuser’s off his butt. but the Music is still fire, the Gameplay is still fire, and the Presentation of Shadowlands is pretty damn good, we have a bunch of zones that all stand out in one way or another.
Yes, ESO is a lot more open as far as its dungeons are concerned, and a lot less interested in dps meters. Then again, it doesnt have the equivalent of M+. Which is probably a good thing.
i play eso for the pve since i can queue dungeons i play wow for the pvp since its not laggy like eso.
They joys of a megaserver…
