Season 2 Updates and Reminders

Lol. We’re not a Mythic Raiding guild. We’re not gonna say “no” and bench people because Blizzard sucks at balance and completely broke one spec while making it simple and super fun to play… while most specs in the game are overcomplicated, bloated messes.

Has zero to do with being a mythic guild.

If you’re having 8 people swap to ret then you’re going to have a hard time.

Who chases meta in a heroic guild lol

From the original comment I was referring to mythic plus as a whole throughout the expansions not just Dragonflight.

Mythic plus loot has been nerfed multiple times throughout its history and it does not need to be nerfed again.

No, it really hasn’t. You have no idea what you are talking about. In Legion/BFA you only got 1 shot at an item per week that was equal to mythic raid iLvl. In Shadowlands they added the vault letting you choose from 3 items that were all mythic raid iLvl. A buff. (Raid vault also gave 3 items to pick from, but bonus rolls were removed, and getting 3 mythic raid slots in vault is SIGNIFICALLY harder than 3 M+ vault slots). In Dragonflight they nerfed half of the raid loot while keeping M+ vault the same, so now it drops higher iLvl than most of the mythic raid. A buff. Not even mentioning they significantly buffed tier chance from M+ in DF. Another buff. They have never nerfed M+.

As a percentage, almost no one participates in the world and server first races. Blizzard is not designing their main systems for those, nor should they.

Also, you have to avoid confusing “Not agreeing with some people’s feedback” and “ignoring feedback.” Listening to feedback doesn’t mean they should implement any idea that anyone has.

ok.

I mean, the gist is still the same, but it’s somewhat lacking in thrust now isn’t it. It seems to imply that they did listen to people saying the Creation Catalyst was too late, but then chose to not act on that, and then that the Dragonfight Catalyst was too late, but then chose to not act on that, and now the 10.1 Dragonflight Catalyst is scheduled to come out too late, but they then chose to not act on that either.

Which I do suppose is all accurate, with even Ion saying that they came out too late in interview, but that they still chose to not act on. IDK which do you think is worse? Ignoring the feedback, or choosing to continue on as though they ignored the feedback but choosing to discard it after reading it and then pretend that you agree with it but not act on it?

Dude - there’s meta and then there’s a perfect storm. If Arcane Mages were meta because they were far and away top DPS after mastering their 4 different 19 step rotations depending on their Conserve/Burn Phase… well that probably should be rewarding and just makes sense. People swapping to it will have a rude awakening when they can’t do as advertised.

When you have a class like Ret that performs near the top in so many encounters, is very simple to learn and extremely simple to master compared to other classes AND performs well in Blizzard’s stupid “everyone needs to move for most of the fight” design… yes, people are going to switch to it. Blaming the people for doing that is a 60 IQ move.

I don’t need you to explain what a meta is. I also play an arcane mage your analogy doesn’t work.

I didn’t blame people for switching. I said your raid leaders allowing that many people to swap to melee shows your officers are terrible.

Especially when ret gets tuned in 10.1 and you have 8 people that are playing ret :joy:

Explain that.

Lol ok.

Explain why your analogy doesn’t work?

The meta is the meta. It doesn’t matter if the spec is complicated or it’s not complicated. The meta is based on performance and utility.

if you don’t think bringing 8 rets to a raid is a bad thing lol

Couldn’t disagree more. Complex classes becoming meta feels fair, especially when people try and chase it and only a few can make it work the way it’s advertised. When anyone can switch to an overtuned, simple class and outshine tons of people playing better on far more complicated classes, that’s a bigger problem.

It matters.

Complexity isn’t why classes become meta.

Arcane is more complex than fire or frost. Frost is currently the meta mage spec. It’s literally performance and toolkit based.

So does having a clue but yet here you are.

I’ll be laughing when ret gets tuned in 10.1 and all those rets swap back :joy:

“I can’t make a coherent point so I’ll just make personal attacks instead.”

I have made multiple points. You just refuse to respond to them and nitpick your answers :joy:

You have a wonderful day.

Their updates do nothing to make playing raids/m+ meaningful in terms of player progression. As long as it’s a weekly login reward timegate with weekly lockouts as well for raids, it won’t be worth it to play.

I guess they really are doubling down on playing the timegate as player progression.

If Ion said that he felt the Creation Catalyst came out too late, then I agree it’s silly to have the exact same delay on it for Season 2. Can you point me to where he said it, because I didn’t see that.

My main point is that companies should listen to all feedback, but that doesn’t mean they should necessarily act on all of it. Their own design discretion comes into play as well, informed by what they’re hearing from players. After all, we don’t know what percentage of players are bothered by the delay on the Catalyst, just that some people are and have posted about it.

Hi for transmog the catalyst changes are great.

It would be nice for season 2 to remove the transmog restrictions for rolling on loot in vault of incarnates loot for transmog.

It really sucks how you can’t role on these pieces if you unlock the armor/loot of the normal/heroic color. It just really sucks and makes collecting the lfr transmog so horrible and forces you to make an entirely different character just to be able to loot this stuff. With the raid being one of the only ways to get this transmog in season 2 with the catalyst it would be nice to introduce weekly quests to incentives players to queue for this lfr difficulty as well as remove the transmog restriction on old content.

Alternatively it would be nice to have another way to earn this armor such as the vendor primalist gear at 1/3 for the lfr colors. And or just a purchasable ensemble given a small achievemnt like defeating 50 lfr raid bosses of that tier.

Collecting lfr gear transmog took a major hit when going back to group loot and yall should keep transmog hunters in mind and try to make collecting transmog better if you are going to keep a system like this that makes you make a whole different character to just be able to roll on loot.

Oh it’s not about it being too late, it’s the fact that it’s worthless as re-sub bait if people are fomo burned from not playing its currency timegate weekly chores.

Thanks for proving my point. Keep ignoring the points my guy. Good luck when ret gets tuned in 10.1
