Oh, I’m sorry, here, how is this: Nothing Blizzard does is in a vacuum aside from changes to PvP as a lot of players do multiple forms of content. The reason the catalyst even exists is so people can get tier from other sources and possibly dabble in other content.
Would we even need the catalyst if people did not both raid and do M+ or PvP, would it matter if people got tier only from raid if those who raided did not do anything but raid?
Also, I have said this before, and I’ll say it again, if one wants to argue for unlocking the catalyst the week after RWF is done, that is something some can get behind (note RWF tends to be done within a month or less after mythic raid opens) and there is precedent for that as cross realm used to be dependent on Hall of Fame being filled up (for both factions).
Before, when it dropped those lesser amounts, all that changed were the difficulty, to match the gear progression, and the seasonal affix. NONE of the dungeons currently in the M+ pool will be in it next season. Nine levels might be a bit much, sure, but maybe Blizzard wants people to step back a bit more and learn how the new set of dungeons interacts with the affixes, like can you imagine Brackenhide or Halls of Infusion with grievous or other common affixes?
I am not defending Blizzard here, but anyone that sees the changes in a vacuum and does not take other things into account, like the fact we will be getting 8 all new (as far as M+ in DF goes) dungeons for the M+ pool, just show they are blinded by something and refuse to look at possibilities.
No you couldn’t. M+ Vault used to give the same iLvl as the the first 90% of the raid, and then the final raid boss gave a little higher. Now half of the loot from a 8/8 mythic raid vault will be below what you get from M+ vault. To improve the raid vault to M+ vault levels you have to go 5/8 mythic, and then the chance of getting 421 gear is 1/5 where as the M+ vault is 100% chance to be 421. Makes absolutely zero sense.
You’ve never been able to game the system by limiting your bosses killed. Once you killed a boss, their loot became part of your vault loot table forever.
It’s also possible this is just a throwaway alt and you’re trolling, purposely being a dick to people to see their responses.
Some people lose sight that this is a video game, and a very small one at that, which is not doing very well. When faced with that they become hostile and vengeful little trolls.
I clicked on your history here, and it’s… scary.
So much hatred in one little guy.
Have a great day Snozy.
I hope I never end up like that.
Do you think it’s cool to be a contrarian? Do you think you’re changing minds? Improving things? Do you think they are wrong because you disagree? Do you think people just aren’t allowed to have opinions different than yours? Is there a dopamine surge? Are you smiling when you post snark?
Mostly: do you think being mean to people is the best way to accomplish any of these things?
Please, give me a rare insight to the mind of a forum troll.
I’m not here to change minds. I’m here to present facts. However most people don’t like hearing the truth.
Trust me. I’m not mean. I would get banned if I was actually mean. I am very specific on the wording I use to not be mean. People are just used to being coddled all the time and not being told no.
Since half my guild rerolled Ret Pallys because you guys can’t figure out how to balance anything and will be rolling against me in tier - because you know, it’s really fun to have class-bound tier pieces drop agnostic of raid comp - can Priests get the Catalyst like before 10.1 drops? I’d like to have a functional character again (IE: my 4 piece) before 10 weeks into the new patch.
Actually you could – if you have a 70 that never did Vault, and had them invited specifically to Diurna & Rasz only, their vault would only have possible loot from those 2 bosses. It’s the same as players who only did Eranog & Council in mythic, to have a better chance at the ring/Icon in their weekly vault. This is the “cheese” Blizzard is attempting to fix with their recent GV change.
Anyone who progressed the raid like normal, of course, would have aleady unlocked the previous bosses and their loot tables by the time they reached the final bosses.
