Unless one is pushing World First, high keys or high PvP rating off the get go, there is little reason they need to have tier via the catalyst available day one.
Now IF one wanted to argue to activate the catalyst the week after RWF was over, that is something some might get behind.
I dont raid, so having the catalyst allowed me to get tier. Sure I did lfr once and did the normal raid to get the mount, but if it werent for the catalyst I would not have gotten S1 teir. Maybe 2 set on my druid but I think only 1 peice of teir dropped in my vualt for my shaman.
Why does tier need to work in M+ at all? Why does M+ gear need to work in raids?
Blizzard is burning out its raiding playerbase by tuning it around the assumption that everyone gears by spamming M+ (thereby making M+ spamming mandatory for progression raiding).
Meanwhile, M+ players get upset because they have to wait a few weeks to get the raiding rewards they âneedâ in order to do M+.
M+ and raiding are diametrically opposed models that should not be using the same gearing system. They need to be separated, like PvP is. It took Blizzard a while to learn (and then unlearn, and then learn again, and then unlearn, and then learn again) that lesson regarding PvP, weâre still waiting for them to understand it between M+ and raiding.
As long as raiding has a once-per-week restriction, and M+ does not, the gearing models cannot co-exist. Either remove the raiding lockout, put a once-per-week lockout on M+, or make the gear from each not work in the other.
I donât care which. But Blizzard needs to pick one.
Iâd rather tier be de-activated tbh. I agree m+ feels mandatory for raider of a certain caliber, but carrying two sets of gear if you participate in both would be a pain. (why does my browser show caliber as a mistake, isnât that a word? (ah itâs the same as color/colour, I guess my PC is set to UK spelling))
I think continuing to burn out the raiding playerbase because we donât have enough bag space is a poor rationale.
I also think that if the gear didnât work in each, the number of people who do both would collapse dramatically. Certainly 80%+ of the raiders I know would stop doing M+ if they werenât forced to.
Itâs just not only bag space though, itâs progressing through the whole thing, and then what happen late season when you decide to engage in the other content? Gotta regrind all the way from the start? Youâd suddenly become much weaker just because some players feel forced to engage in multiple activities?
Now I only hope that the charge cap is removed entirely, like it was back in Zereth Mortis. Basically so that if I donât use any charges for a while on an alt but then go on a blitz of gear collecting for transmogâŚI donât have to have some pieces sitting in my bags for weeks waiting for the six charges to slowly refill again.
If weâre basing iLvl only off of difficulty, then the M+ drops/vault should definitely not be giving 415/421 iLvl. M+ 20âs are a joke. The vault should cap at 415 for M+ if raid loot stays like this.
Foh weirdo , I clearly deal with it if I still play you ainât some type of authority pve freak. You DH players give off n bred vibes. Think I wanna raid n run into clowns like you?.
Eh, no. You used to be able to get end boss mythic loot from a 15 on your weekly. They even removed mythic drops at one point all because of raiders but they ended up backtracking after enormous backlash.
Different pool of dungeons, changing the set up for affixes, in addition to the normal change in difficulty are no reason?
Maybe so those who do the content get a shot at tier before the âcatalyst is open, 4 piece tier or bustâ takes over and is used as reason to deny people spots in groups or refuse to do content with them.
In a vacuum these things might be bad or make little sense, but nothing Blizzard does is ever in a vacuum.
everything blizzard does is in a vacuum. wtf are you talking about? blizzard is the king of making terrible design choices. - as far as the dropping keys 9 levels, itâs not the dropping thatâs the problem, itâs the amount it drops. absolutely insane to drop it more than 5-6 levels.
You know you get tier from the vault right? You dont do all content available for you so gearing is going to be slower, thats to be expected.
You want to gear quicker? Form a pick up group and step into normal. Do all the content available to you instead of a fraction and you will get your tier faster. You will even have 6 vault slots for a shot at tier instead of just 3.
Actually out forth the extra effort instead of calling for tier to be removed because you refuse to take the extra step.
