This is actually false.
Oh? Why do you feel that way?
Iâm not sure who over there thought this was a good idea, but itâs really not. Undo.
I am an outdoor-focused player. When the primal storms came out, I diligently farmed that gear on my main, did the catalyst quest every week, and converted my pieces to tier as I did so. I did not waste a single opportunity.
Then the same week I finish my tier set, 10.0.7 comes out and I find I canât upgrade most of those items because you guys changed the original items and didnât make those changes retroactive. So, I had to re-acquire all those items so I could convert them again and upgrade them. Fine. I farmed all the tokens and continued doing catalyst quests every week.
Now youâre telling me that on the very day that I would have completed my heroic set, youâre taking that away from me for another 6 weeks?
Furious is not a strong enough word to describe what Iâm feeling right now. I was on board with getting tier sets slowly because I choose not to raid. But you imposed this additional burden on me and just as Iâm about to meet it, you pull the rug out from under me.
Meanwhile, I have alts who never once touched a primal storm who could have had full heroic tier sets for weeks.
ITT: People complaining over insignificant details and just overall trying to be mad at what looks to be another amazing DF patch.
GD in a nutshell.
But not past the point of âif I canât have it now then get rid of it for everyone.â
Statistics showing thatâs not true
Ion making a statement showing thatâs not true. The solo player base is one of the smallest player bases in the game.
cool.
Can you show me?
I could but I doubt youâd actually look at it.
Armory and statistics showed that 60% of the player base had raid boss kill achievements in 9.2.
idk Snozy.
40% sounds pretty significant to me.
The great vault for raiding still sucks, but at least this ends the notion of âsorry canât come help in the raid I need to never kill those bosses to maximize my vault chances.â
Itâs less than half. And thatâs assuming the full 40% are solo players.
The reality is that of that 40% that is made up by people who pvp only mplus only craft only and other solo content. I wonât even make assumptions on that breakdown because there isnât any data.
However
60% is the majority not 40%
What is it that people donât understand about tier sets being a chase piece since the dawn of time and not being intended to be something you get on day 1? How is this such a big deal?
I can answer that one. Tier having an effect in other sphere of competitive gameplay, vault being the only source of tier for those spheres, people not wanting to raid at all. If the catalyst didnât exist, they would just shift their complains to the vault. If the vault also didnât exist, they would complain they have to raid. The only real solutions to quelch them at this point is A: remove tier, or B: make a tier bonus that is specific to your sphere of gameplay or C: just make tier disabled in all but raid and overworld content.
Or they can just get over it and stop whining about it.
The system is specifically designed that people who partake in all systems of the game raid/mplus/world content/pvp will have an advantage over people who only play xy or z
Well yeah thatâs the ultimate pipe dream, but we both know the complaining wonât stop. It is GD after all.
For those complaining about catalyst tier.
Defeating the last boss of raid on each difficulty gives a guaranteed piece of tier.
Same goes for certain m+ breakpoints
Same goes for certain pvp breakpoints.
So in actuality, it will be easier to get tier this season.
One could hypothetically get 4 set without RNG drops during week 1 just for hitting these breakpoints.
