I was in the PTR yesterday morning when the new event was happening and it was justâŚsad. It didnât feel dangerous at all. If the scourge is this piddly, I donât see why weâd have to go to the Shadowlands at all, because this isnât a bloody threat.
To be clear, I hate pvp, I donât ever, ever do it. But this was fun, it felt dangerous and of course it was a pain in the butt, but it was a temporary one. There were ways around it.
What theyâve implemented is just truly pathetic.

I kindly disagree, it was very much possible for everyone to get the best of both worlds. Which is what blizzard, should have done. Give the people who want out an opt out and there is an opt in for those who want it. Heck, they even did that but they also nerfed the event so much it disappoints me a little bit to be honest. With that said, a compromise was very much possible. I donât think it would have ruined the event at all, people who want to have the plague invasion get it. And people who donât like chaos in the cities get it.

Donât ya get it? They got their opt out with WM. The whole basis of this event was a zombie bites you, you turn into a zombie, you kill others so they become zombies. Chaos ensues. This is the compromise they wanted, what they begged for, and they got it. Very boring, nothing to do but safely AFK.
If people were allowed to opt out it would only be the WM people in town living the zombie life. Whoâs gonna turn WM on in town while this is happening? Probably nobody, so that was a non-option for a compromise.
If it were only NPC zombies as some suggested, it was a repeat of 2008 and the same crowd was/would complain they still canât go to town. So thatâs a non-option.
They could have come up with something different, but they didnât. The complainers got their way and all we get are a new set of daily quests to get gear thatâs worse than what we had, a new pet, and an item we wonât use.
The complainers ruined something that could have been fun.

You know if it was war mode only, no one would do it. Because its not popular. Because people donât like doing it. The few people that want to would be happy but the vast majority of the player base would be upset. Its why you would never agree to war mode only.
Like I said before, I wish you had it in your war mode. I wish you could have had your fun without it ruining mine.

First off, stop thinking the sole purpose of this event was for you to get griefed.
Second, with this event WM only, there is no event. Itâs gone. It had nothing to do with ganking you, or the others. It was supposed to be fun and different. No danger, no excitement, nothing.
You were too scared, you complained and now all you get it a few lousy dailies. For me it had nothing to do with ganking, griefing and whatever you think it was.
The zombies are just window dressing now. Your safe space in intact.
Like you said, if its war mode only its dead. Why? What other reason can there be for it to be dead in war mode but perfect in PvE mode?
I donât need danger or excitement from a video game, I take time to log off and live in the real world occasionally. I donât need a video game to create excitement for me.
I am fine with dailies. I am fine with world bosses. I am fine with recolor transoms sets. All of this is EXACTLY why I play this game.
I donât play it to PvP. I donât roll on a PvP server. Its why I keep saying the barrier needs to be hardened more. You people who need the threat of being ganked to feel excitement, stay in warmode. Those of us looking for good clean fun will stay in PvE mode.

And all you had to do was stay out of Org for a little while. But you got the whole event killed because you couldnât handle that.
Thatâs the exact reason you should have been the one to stay out of town. You could have avoided what the rest of us called fun. You could have been boring anywhere else.

Are you one of those kiddos blocking streets and screaming at anyone trying to drive down the street? Thats exactly what you sound like. All I wanna do is riot, err I mean protest. If I shut down this street and people cant go down it, they can go around.
I myself want the police to lock those griefers up for breaking the law (like standing on a highway) so us normies can just go about our business. So if the event is ruined, I feel bad but the more you argue the less bad I feel about it and the moreI feel the extreme nerfs were worth it. Just like the police, Blizzz decided you were too outta control and they had to curb you.
Congrats, you did it to yourself. Blaming anyone else is just you being a kid who cant accept responsibility for your own actions

I think itâs great that we have an example of why we canât really go back to the âgood old timesâ.
We remember this authentic, fun and horrible thing that made iconic memories but when we try to recreate that moment it feels plastic and completely fake.

I just wanna go around the streets of Org without kiddies ruining my day as zombies. You want to stop me from doing just that.

YOU just admitted that you havenât been playing nor tested it out yourself, so why should we cater to someone who will probably not be touching the pre-patch to begin with? IF YOUâRE NOT PLAYING THE GAME!..Then you should have no concern over thisâŚ
If youâre so worried youâll have a bad experience, then go back to playing PSO2 and wait it out!

I played it in Wrath. I also played it on PTR on Day 1. It was such an unplayable mess throughout the day. Couldnât get the followup quests on fresh characters from Exileâs Reach because I had to try to escort an NPC through the zombie horde. A level 50 priest get two or three-shot and had no recourse to deal with the infection.
Been there, done that, made my suggestions. Also, donât know PSO2. Itâs good stuff.
