Scourge Event Nerfed - Thank You

Seems like somebody would have a lot more fun with Hello Kitty Island Adventure.

Well I was looking forward to the event, but of course a bunch of crybabies have to ruin everything.

Yeah, I know. Everyone is an idiot except me. And that includes Blizzard. But I’m okay with that; it is what it is.

Paladins are there to save the day, and Blizzard had better make the Light a positive force in the game again.

This new zombie event is what happens when they listen to the dozen people who were adamant about having “forced pvp”.

Now there is zero danger. Zero reason for me to be a zombie. Zero reason for me to kill a zombie. Nothing good is going to come out of the invasion.

Once I get my pet my main has no reason to do anything. Bliz took something fun, different and interesting and turned it into an average day in Azeroth.

There’s still time, you have the zombies, turn it into something we’d actually want to do.

Something you want to do. The Live servers will follow the exact same pattern as PTR Day 1 if zombie players don’t have to respect War Mode rules. Bank on it.

Yes yes, you’ve made that point abundantly clear about the pvp.

Tell me what they’ve turned it into is in any way exciting or fun? I don’t even care about the loss of non-warmode pvp in town.

They might as well not even exist. They bring nothing to the table.

Adding enticing rewards to participating would help spur people to interact with the zombies and drive them back. Adding choice lore bits could also intrigue more PvE-minded folk. Re-release the old transmog if that’s your thing.

It doesn’t have to be PvP-oriented at all to be interesting. The zombies are filler to the story that ‘hey Scourge is back’.

This will be an event long-remembered… /darth vader voice.

You’re absolutely right! But the event was pvp and now it’s not. There is no reason to do anything involving the zombies as I assume they’ll just mill around.

I get that you and the others didn’t want to be ganked. But now they turned it into a whole lot of nothing. You and your ilk complained so much they nerfed it so hard you won’t notice anything different aside from a few new quest mobs.

Contrary to what you believe, the vast majority of us were looking for something fun and different to do. You succeeded in making what would have been fun for a lot of people, and turned into nothing.

Re-running a hated event shouldn’t result in being surprised that people, well, hate it. Forcing people into world PvP is not and never has been the answer. It’s why there was a division of PvP and PvE servers. It’s why War Mode exists.

You can have a threatening and bleak atmosphere without being constantly harassed and overwhelmed.

They should be more careful with ptrs, once people know what to expect, it ruins all hype for it for people that did it on ptr and those that heard about it from their friends.

Not everyone hated it. The fact that we keep talking about a video game event from 12 years ago makes it a success.

Agree. But you and your friends complained so much about dying in town they killed the whole thing.

Just remove the zombies entirely and have a world boss or something. There’s absolutely no point to it anymore.

The pitiful state of this so called ‘invasion’ is legitimately worse than removing the event altogether. It’s embarrassing.

I mean, if you’re in your capital, then you’re supposed to be in a safe zone. That’s why you have Elite-status guards throughout the entire area and it takes a raid to even consider getting in the front door.

Have the outside swarm with zombies, show that the surrounding land is dangerous by having event-specific NPC guards fighting and dying on occasion, getting raised, the usual stuff.

It doesn’t have to wreck the city to be a legitimate and appreciable threat.

And that other player has every right to do as such.

Your want for chaos, griefing, and douchery isn’t needed.

And you got it. Enjoy doing nothing with the rest of us. When there’s nothing going on over that month sit back, relax, and think all of this nothingness is due to me.

All I wanted was an opt-out of the PvP side of it and I’d have been happy. You were the ones that pushed the event in its grief-worthy state and wouldn’t shut up with your ‘love it or leave it’ rhetoric. Separate PvP from PvE and I and others like me would have been on board with defending the event.

You’re looking at ‘nothingness’ because you refused to compromise.

Can’t blame me. I wanted it as is. You cried, your anti-invasion friends cried… You chose this path. You got it. Now it’s going to be a boring pre-patch month.

This is all on you. A compromise wasn’t possible. It was an all or nothing kind of event. You won with the nothing part.

Then so be it. Nothing is better than the ‘something’ that event was. You can’t mandate PvP on people that don’t want it.

And do you think you’re in any better of a position? You called a bunch or people whiners, as did others. Did you honestly think you were going to add anything, other than fuel, to a thread that was already on fire?
