Scourge Event Nerfed - Thank You

If nobody is going to turn it on, then I at least believe that the event isn’t that fun for those people. There are people that will turn it on. You shouldn’t need unwilling subjects to have fun with the event in my opinion, but that’s it. I simply have faith that people will play around with it and there would have been people going into warmode to kill the infected. But that’s just what I think I guess. Maybe I’m wrong, but either way. I don’t think anybody should have been forced to participate though the current event is a bit disappointing to me at least.

Oh day one?? oOHOHO! Honey bear! Lemme list your concerns…

Unkillable ghouls: Every player/NPC ghoul had a 99% bugged missrate on them, didn’t matter the level or how high of damage you did…

Exiles reach newbies: Now immune to the scourge event entirely, followed alongside whatever NPC needed to go to Boralus/other zones outside of Stormwind or its vincinity.

Priest: Now snipers that can 2 shot player ghouls nearby, now also one next to any main NPC quest giver.

Those changes above should’ve been enough…But no, people like you asked for more, and now ghouls need consent to attack any NPC/player…Don’t remember no arthas asking uther if he could go stabby stabby in his hearty heart.

If you were there for the recent test, ghouls aren’t even a threat anymore. HELL blizzard spawn so many roaches to turn 40-50 people into ghouls at once and they still all died in the span of 5 seconds.

I get both sides. I’m not a ganker, a little mischievous? Absolutely. No matter what the event is it’s not real if everybody can’t partake. Like the Elementals, or Doomsayers. It just took all the event out of the event.

At least you weren’t like the last guy who told me I was a BLM rioter, was hoping the police would lock me up and was happy that blizzard “Curbed me”.

All of that looks like good progress on the event. The War Mode adjustment most of all. Thumbs up.

Which is funny you say that cause there was no warmode adjustment, you just need to be flagged. So sorry sweet cheeks but your cities will still be filled with ghouls.

Ah. Well, still some progress to go on that front. For what it’s worth, I don’t mind strong zombies or a spreading infection, but I do want to make sure it takes War Mode into account and prevents players from attacking me if I have it off.

Wow, some people really take things a bit too serious. Hopefully they calmed down from when they said that.

I meant the discussion of these things in GD.

Ah the reddit post, it’s such a good one…

On tuesday…The release of the pre-patch…The ghouls had been free from the helm of the Lich king… Now with a thought of their own, ghouls became a social protector of society, free from the un PC ways of the Lich King…Their new found leader sylvanas lead them on the path of consent before munch…Now, they stand side by side with the living, chewing down on the brains for only those who have asked.

Vote sylvanas 2020…

Such tears. Such glorious tears…

I agree, your tears were quite glorious when you thought you were going to get ganked every time you stepped foot in town. It’s rare to see a post and tell that they were openly weeping. I salute your crying sir, it was brave.

I’d be wounded, but the pro-griefers lost.

This nerfed event is because of people like you, who would. not. compromise.

It COULD have been good, but people like you didn’t want anyone able to do anything else.

is this what the future of wow holds? catering to the minority? catering to making things unfun?

we should also nerf bosses so that they never kill the players either. it might hurt their feelings too much.

Even though I said the exact opposite on a dozen occasions you keep saying that. It’s still hard to picture you as anything but a crybaby.

You have limited imagination, then.

I really enjoyed the Lich King pre-launch. I started off healing like crazy to save as many people as I could, but then, well, being a ghoul looked like fun.

for those pointing fingers at the “Whiners” you have to remember why the nerfs had to be made

  1. Stress testing sounds good but some would have to linger to prevent crashing of the servers during the event. Unless you were those people who led 200+ zombie raids that led to cities being unplayable or world servers crashing…
  2. People wanted to have a compromise to where both side would want it, but the problem lied with some of the more vocal PvPers who didn’t want to yield or compromise. This caused the majority to not want the event
  3. The suggestions of toys/talbards to make things immune just makes it to where you’re not a zombie, but it doesn’t mean it prevents one from being killed by 200+zombies or making it impossible to do things normally (questing, Dailies, AH or testing other things.)

Sadly, as I’ll say it, the unyielding PvPers is why we can’t have nice things.

That’s just an opinion. It’s not an EVENT if you are able to stand in the middle of it and not be effected.

The unyielding carebear types have just as much blame to go around. Not being in town was a viable option. The zombies were not nearly strong enough to kill anyone.

My biggest complaint with the original scourge invasion was that it was like a totally different experience if you could play a character with Cure Disease.

My Priest had no issues. My Druid? Yeah I just didn’t play him a whole lot, since a single melee attack hit me with that uncurable disease that killed me 2 minutes later.

(And don’t tell me to go to the Argent Crusade NPC, because they were removed later in the event.)
