Well damn. Here I was hoping for a repeat of the fun of the First Scourge invasion event. I was so enthused I was paying attention to the calendar. Now
meh.

LOL you actually believe playing any video game, let alone MMORPGs like WoW make you something different than the players of those games

Video games as a whole are for weebs. MMORPGs mores. WoW at the top of that list. Yeah I play it, I just don’t deny I am normal like the rest of the world.

This.

I got my taste of the event on the PTR. It was hot garbage. I had stuff I wanted to test, but I was being attacked by some player-controlled Ghoul before I even loaded in. I was not flagged for PvP. I was not in Warmode.

I don’t have a problem with the concept, but it needed to be Warmode-only with this new set of rules for everyone else.

I suspect if they felt they could make that change in time, they would have done it though. They probably ran into technical difficulties and had to toss the idea.

Even so, they have only themselves to blame. They already knew exactly what the reaction would be based on WotLK’s event. They KNEW. And yet they didn’t take the time to prepare it in a way that wasn’t intrusive on people trying to play normally until it was too late to do it in a way that doesn’t gut the event.

It was SUPPOSED to be complete mayhem. THAT’S the point. What a damn shame you all would have had to spend two weeks experiencing something unique and exciting. Why don’t we all just turn the game off and sit quietly in a dark room while we’re at it?

Why even have this event now.

please do us all a favor, and go report the spam “mount” threads.

Good question.

Turns out people actually want to be able to play the game rather than indulge in ‘complete mayhem’. This event was toxic to everyone that didn’t like it, and apparently a lot of people didn’t like it. Good on Blizz for the change, though I would have simply been satisfied with the Ghouls being forced to respect War Mode.

So I played around on the PTR and there’s like
no zombies

This is lame.

Killed all interest in the pre-patch event before it happened. Way to go.

Yeah cause they’re capped and easily killed. It’s as insignificant as kobolds now.

I think it’s possible to respect that segment of the playerbase without nerfing the event to the ground. That way if you want to experience it for a hot minute, you have the option to do so as well.

Why would they cap it? I can’t even find one zombie. This is not a zombie infestation at all.

Seriously, what’s the point of a stress test when there’s nothing to stress it out?

ICC stuff is cool, but this doesn’t seem like an event all levels can participate in.

I’m basing it off this piece of info:

If the event respected War Mode, I really wouldn’t take any issue with it. It would be a fun event that I could peek over, see battles, and figure ‘hey sure, I’ll give it a try’.

Forcing me into the trenches is, bar none, the fastest way to make me despise whatever this event could otherwise be.

Well aren’t you special. That’s enough for me to move my thoughts on the matter from meh to one tick into being happy they nerfed it.
