Scaling in older instances is broken

This is the most boring and unhype prepatch ever. I just want out of the shadowlands

because with pre patch --every prepatch that ever was - things become scaled to teh next expansions level cap .

Fake. Older enemies didn’t become stronger all of sudden until BFA prepatch did it, and that one could be said to be almost accidental. SL and DF prepatches however made already existing enemies from older content harder on purpose. It’s def new compared to before, and a EXTREMELY unwelcome change.

0/10, at least try to be believable

Legion raids apparently have a legacy buff at level 70 now.

Even though it SHOULD be at level 60. The rule was always 2 expansions later, not 3. -.- BFA should be the ones getting a Legacy Buff at 70, not Legion. >_<

Also, scaling is borked all over the place right now. Lol. Have you guys tried doing a dungeon in Chromie Time in WoD? Even in 9.2.5.

The WoD dungeons in Chromie Time take SOOOOO much more time than the others. Bosses take 3-4x as long to kill. They have so much health.

yeah should of added since teh legacy system has been implemented , ands please yes it has - every prepatch since that system people have complained that teh scaling was broken and every time it got better as you leveled . Bliz overcompensates for the increase in level and has to draw it back .

Things get tested on teh PTR - but how many people actually test old dungeons on there -not many ( and judging by the number of people complaining about teh UI and not knowing how to use it I would think that not many players actually logged into the Pre patch PTR at all )

and the ones that do test it get ignored or ridiculed by the community as wasting test time or “of course it’s not working properly it’s beta/alpha hurr durr.”

Ask the guy about 10 posts up, who has screamed loud on the beta forums about how it’s been broken.

It’s the same 8x as it is on SL. That redditor didn’t bother checking their own numbers.

Maizou–I always took the legacy rule to mean two expansion between current and the legacy --so if you take current as DF tehn teh two in between were SL and BFA --which means Legion is the last with teh legacy rules .

And yeah as I said scaling is always a problem in pre patch and beta because of teh new level cap - plus old content scaling , rightfully or wrongly , wouldnt have as high a priority as teh new content for bug fixes . Hopefully fixed before launch though as it is an inportant thing

It literally wasn’t though lol.

Prior to Shadowlands, it was always one expansion in between - aka 2 expansions out.

It’s not an interpretation thing. It’s literally how it was incorporated. There’s a reason we were farming WoD raids in BFA without trouble lol.

Hell, they literally made Hellfire Citadel’s first boss soloable during BFA:

good --but if it is only a few peopel screaming compared to 100s about problems with new content then what would you fix first - teh new stuff or the old ?

thanks for teh info --always happy to be proven wrong

Unless they deployed a hotfix in the last 30 minutes im not aware of this isnt true and that reddit thread is wrong.

True and some changes for BFA boss mechanics…like something about the legendary cloak.

You never will if they keep scaling Legion up and by default everything else.
