i’ll just find a different game to play as i’m about played out on wotlk classic.
I swear I know the reason.
Every time an expansion releases, old content is buffed. It’s so you’re FORCED to buy the new expansion if you want to continue your farming.
Otherwise if you could keep working on your goals, say you’re a casual player with 0 desire to do “max level” content, they can’t make $$$$ off you.
Remember when my alts got smacked in Firelands after a new expansion, when they previously solo’d it just fine.
It’s friggin’ annoying to have to level alts 10 more levels just to make them viable for tmog farming again.
Yeah content half a decade old and it is still a problem…BlizZard needs to let people have fun.
My sub runs out on December 18th, just enough time to run though and see the story and level a single character. Then ill take a break till love is in the air then who knows. Maybe jump back in around 10.1 to see the next hunk of story then zoot out again. Though solo shuffle does interest me but idk how much.
They don’t want you doing old content. Doing old content means you’re not doing new content, which hurts the participation numbers that justify their development decisions.
Doing old content on all your alts ditto.
Doing old content on lower level alts, as people always used to do, means you didn’t level them up and power them up into new content to do their chores.
The fewer characters they can get you to do old content on, the less old content you do, and the more time you will spend pretending you like esports.
Besides, Ion told us that it’s not fun to zerg old content. Clearly he believes this is not only true, but the right way to play the game, the only right way.
The whole idea of getting weaker is anti-rpg.
And Anti-MMO. But ask Ion, im sure he will come with his typical lawyer answer.
Get gud
Get gud
Get gud
Stop expecting spoon fed difficulties.
I hope they listen to you.
I hope you’re wrong and the nerf to us or buff to old content is just an accident.
After bringing my DH, 2 warriors and my pally through mythic EN and NH, I can honestly say it’s not very painful to do either of those raids. Anything beyond that though gets a bit rough, so I’d probably be hesitant to bring my mage alone. lol Only got through about 5 bosses of Tomb on one of my warriors before I had to call it. Will probably try Antorus later to see how I fare, but I doubt that’ll go well. But yeah, I’d still love some actual legacy buffs.
I agree with OPs subject title.
I am also expressing my discontent.
People be so focused on those two leggos and cov ability (which they may or may not still have), they totally forget about that whole extra borrowed power soulbind tree and how much it all contributes.
I wouldn’t expect to solo Mechagon unless you sporting a REALLY high ilvl, and even then… I might flask again until Dragonflight geared.
Classic Blizzard coding… Fix 1 thing, break 100 more things.
I wish he’d realize that stuff is just a farm to get things that didn’t drop when stuff was current because they make drop rates sometimes so terrible. And that he has timewalking raids for challenge that isn’t just zerging things. And also that people farm for this stuff usually when bored about other things or because they don’t participate in certain other things.
Maybe, bring this topic to the CC forums too, I know that space is algo ignored but at least you can try.
This was an issue back when both BFA and SL launched. This is one of many downfalls of using a borrowed power system which only buffs your character for the life of the expansion. Once that system goes away you’re right back where you started, which is the antithesis of how progression is suppose to work in an mmorpg.
It’s worse than you think. Legion raid bosses are continuing to scale up with level and ilvl. A level 60 sees a 3.3mil health Goroth, whereas a level 70 sees 5.9mil. That is beyond awful.
to be honest I think Blizzard does not want people to run old content
I finally played through Breath of the wild and i have had it since it came out. THANKS BLIZZARD! /s
On a serious note BotW is amazing.
