I noticed that with Spear of Bastion when I was doing Headless Horseman the other night. I assumed it was because I did not have it selected in my talent tree and was therefore only available in SL. I actually though, “Fair enough. makes sense.”
If I’d been able to solo Legion content at the start of SL, I likely wouldn’t have hated SL at week 5 from sheer burnout boredom of the lack of WQs I’d already repeated 3 times, because I could have augmented that limited new, time-gated on steroids SL content with running Legion content I’d been waiting 2 years to solo.

Was kinda hyped for new class talents and Dragonflight, but this is such a downer. I think around 50% of my gameplay in MoP through BFA was just farming old mounts. I plateaued in SL, since I’ve gotten most of the dungeon/raid mounts from Legion and prior expacs, but I still farm mounts and tmog.
Farming still has a lot of meaning to me, it’s what I do when the expac fails, like the last 3 out of 4 expacs. Tmog/mounts/pets/old achievements having meaning that you always have and last more than the current expacs raid/M+/pvp/zone meta achievement tunnels.
They said they would be better about evergreen content, and then they repeat the same mistakes on purpose because it benefits them and their played metrics. Even the collections that you have forever lose meaning when the game continues to be not fun. It’s just depressing, someone who has the played the game for a month could point out dozen of easy changes like this one. With how they “fix” their beta release expac in the final patch from the ridged mechanical problems they made to begin with, I literally have 0 faith in them that they didnt do this on purpose.

They mess up old raid farming every xpac, this isn’t new its the norm sadly.
It is intentionally evil.
yeah i was having fun on an alt warrior, level 29 fighting level 29 furbolgs in ashenvale, and getting my face kicked in.
The thing is, they messed it up when SL launched, and they haven’t addressed it in a meaningful way since. It has gone largely ignored. Granted, they had a lot going on internally, but that doesn’t make it okay. I’m hoping that since there is indeed a legacy buff present at 70, even though it’s basically the same as it is now, that there may be plans to dial that up a lot, but at this point I’m not expecting it.

I can’t shake the feeling that the dev team feels actual disdain for legacy content enthusiasts in general and the xp-off community in particular.

For now probably but once level 70 with like minimum heroic dungeon gear you’ll probably destroy everything that isn’t level 60+ with ease so anything before Shadowland.
the buff should be active at level 61 not level 70.

this post defies all logic. a mob she was able to solo before she is no longer able to solo and your answer is “wait till 70”. Ion is that you? get back to work and fix instances.

Because in BFA aside from a few bosses, everything in WOD/Legion was doable (including mythic) Maybe it was just a you problem
I had no problem soloing any legion bosses this expansion period

The 8x multiplier has been in the game for almost 2 years now. This is nothing new.

This happens every single time they mess with scaling.
I remember when ICC became unsoloable several expansions after it was relevant due to a stats squish (in fact this has happened twice now I think…) Killed my invincible farm overnight. It was never fixed, had to wait for the next expansion.
It’s infuriating because when I finish the current content I want to do then farming old stuff keeps me subscribed. If I can’t easily do old content then I have no reason to keep playing/paying.

Nothing quite like having your soul destroyed when Invincible drops on Beta when you still don’t have it on live after 100+ runs…
