Scaling in older instances is broken

My frost DK is getting absolutely destroyed in Zerith Mortis, against Rares. There was no issue before the patch.

My Disc Priest? Not a single point of health lost. But enemies take forever to kill.

i don’t think this is true at all. i think there are far more people soloing old raids than running current raids. Blizz just wants collectors to take longer to collect to keep them subbed, so they slow it down and make you keep your farming alts at level cap.

I hate that you’re probably right. Its so frustrating, there is more than enough content and things to collect to keep people busy for years. Wish they didn’t need to tweak anything that doesnt take a ton of hours to complete/collect.

except no it isn’t. this ONLY STARTED WITH SHADOWLANDS.

This has only happened in the last two pre-patches (SL and DF). Every other pre-patch we kept (or even gained) power relative to what we had.

So this “this has always happened” is completely incorrect, and the majority of the game the stance has been that a new expansion dropping should not change player power in existing content substantially.

I murdered gul’dan with no problem on mythic so.

Ran my weekly kings rest, freehold and nighthold last night with no issue. Bosses died maybe 10secs slower cause I didn’t have my set bonuses anymore but eh.

I’m struggling immensely in early game content. Healers feel pretty weak and tanks aren’t very tanky. Makes for a very unpleasant situation. Only healer that has been good is Mistweavers channeling soothing mist.

I can only pull like a few mobs at a time and I’m having to pop defensives and kite. Mind you these are Chromie time dungeons

Eh? Most of my characters lost access to abilities. What are these “more powerful abilities” everyone gained access to?

99% damage taken reduction and 1000% damage dealt increase for all 2+ expansion content. Job done. I AM KRUMTOILET!!!

That post about Legion raids being harder is from the Beta and people were lvl 70.

not till 10.3, that will be the best part.

even in beta the try hards in 70 gear had issues. they were already meta chasing plan making in real gear for DF level stuff.

10.3 would be for the non mythic pros. In sl some of the mythic peeps were okay 9.2 ish levels. Not mythic semi-BIS…you wait.

Nighthold as pvp spammer got decent 9.3 with 7/7 honor. still grindy as hell but I hated life much less on trips to see gul’dan.

And? Legion raid bosses aside from KJ and a few others weren’t a problem on mythic this expansion either.

It will balance out.

They need to fix this. Ion said in a developer Q&A with Lore years ago that legacy content should be easy to solo for everyone, so this isn’t right.

What are you smoking lol. Back in BFA, we could solo WoD stuff just fine, and now we couldn’t do it with legion till the end of expac, which is flat out wrong, and undergeared level 60 alts still cannot, despite the fact on BFA you could easly solo WoD raids on mythic regardless of the toon’s gear.

Nice try. but no. I already get my social interaction based fun of losing a WG because not 1 person checks out west side. and that is how offence comes in. or all those people you love to hate on noob hill in av.

the dude even made dailes complicated and difficult for the reward they put out.

The ONLY thing I can think of, and I am sure they have already reduced that, is the gold drops from those old dungeons could be a concern. And if that really was the case, then simply reduce the amount of gold, if haven’t done already.

Majority of people don’t care about “farming” gold being their major and only source from those old dungeons. They just want to get mogs/pets/mounts/achievements/reps etc… You know, almost everything that is COSMETIC and technically have zero gold value.

Don’t make things harder for those when the content is actually getting older. It may surprise you but there are MANY players who sub and play this game ONLY to do older content. They find it relaxing and fun (as a freakin GAME should be, not a second job) and they like to feel better by smashing older content and having those cool looking collections.
