I noticed this too, I logged in last night to farm Malygos and I can usually one shot him with my main. It actually took longer, it was still easy, but having to hit him multiple times made me go “Wow, that was odd.” I cant imagine how bad it is on later expansions.
and it’s a crappy anti player move, more BS every day with Blizzard and DF.
Where is that legacy buff when u did old raids and such ? That super buff u in dmg/hp/heal ? They removed that ?
sadly taking the benefit of the level squish on older content is the only way many people get to experience older raids and instances, but if Blizzard are actively following a path that prevents these activities, then me and wow will be parting sooner or later and most likely sooner/
I popped into Mythic Tomb, blew up the first few bosses then hearthed. Seems to be fine.
I keep saying that: we peaked in power during wod.
Legion scalling broke everything and since then our characters never killed anything as fast they did before.
People say “oh they’re gonna fix it later” no they won’t, they never do. We just get better gear and get stronger so we kill things faster again and yet still slower than before.
It makes no sense my fully geared BFA or SL character feels weaker killing old crap than the same character did during wod or even legion itself before everything broke.
Honestly disappointing that they still haven’t ironed out how to get scaling correct for end game players in legacy content (And while leveling in the older zones). They should have this issue resolved by now. We have had some variation of level scaling since 7.3.5, we’re on 10.0 now. We should have legacy damage in Legion and BFA Content that makes mobs drop easily like they do in content older than that.
I just want to know why you are whining.
Yeah, just another Blizzard move to push even more players out of the game.
Honestly I will do more testing but it is looking grim. Just have to hope someone sees the reports being sent in and they investigate the issue so it can be fixed soon.
What is the issue with not just doubling all damage in legacy content? hit the x2 button and be done with all this nonsense.
Hanlon’s razor - never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
In this case, the question is whether the stupidity is tied to bad code / QA or design.
You could call it stupidity if this was the first time people said something about it but people have been talking about this for a while now. They had time to fix it or comment on it but since they chose not to do either it looks like malice.
I’m still of the opinion that if soloing old 5 man or raid content is difficult for you, you should bring a friend or two along to help ya out. Just because its old content doesn’t mean its a god given right for you to steamroll through it with 0 effort.
You know, it’s funny, I was waiting for all of BFA/SL to finally solo legion mythic raids…
Well, finally in SL they retuned the legion stuff to make it more solo-able.
But that wasn’t enough. Sure, it did make more of it soloable, but not all of it.
We should be 1-shotting Legion content WITHOUT having full 270+ ilvl. (and 270 isn’t even high end)
I shouldn’t have to perfectly time orbs on mythic Kil’jaeden. He should be dead in 1-2 spells. This content is OVER FIVE(5) YEARS OLD… Like, enough of this…
This is a valid point but if you were able to do it last week you still should be able to do it this week. Unless they have made updates to the loot tables or made the old content relevant there should be no changes to the difficulty of said content.
I agree with this. By Dragon Soul in Cata (possibly even Firelands, my memory is a bit fuzzy), I was already able to solo Ulduar and ICC to farm for those mounts. I had to use a specific strat and specific consumables, but it worked flawlessly, even if the fights were quite long. That was only about a 2 year gap from it being current content to being soloable.
The main reason soloing is so appealing is because it can be difficult to find people to fill groups for old content. Not many people are interested in content if it’s not current. Making it more difficult to solo old content doesn’t really add anything positive to the game that I can see.
The simplest solution is to just apply the legacy content debuff to all raids and dungeons that are more than 2 expansions old, like they do with pathfinder/flying. So content up to and including BFA should become soloable in DF, but SL content wouldn’t get the debuff until the expansion after DF.
Even if that is the case, that is supremely dumb. No two ways about it.
we could solo those mobs in SL. but now we have to wait untill DF to solo the same mobs we used to already be able to solo?
did you even read that before typing it out? lmao
That is sadly true.
They remove so much content in each pre patch, why not give people a chance to do it later?
Old raids and the entire transmog system is why I have a sub for almost 20 years now. I do not care about the “endgame” its toxic and I want to have fun in a game.
Not only did they not add improvements for the transmog system, no, they also make it harder to get the items for it.
Not nice
