So with Blizzard deciding to KILL what was probably secretly the best server on SoD I feel the need to get this out of my system.
The server was fine. The population was FINE. There was always going to be a drop off before each phase. By your OWN metrics and by Ironforge pro CB was the size of a medium pop server in 2019 on Classic and a high pop server in 2005. WHY couldn’t you have done something else like idk opening up transfers in from the opposite direction before doing this?
Chaos Bolt was great. You could see the same people out in the world again and again while there was still always things going on. Who here on Horde could forget High Warlord Sapps destroying the Alliance in Ashenvale every single time it popped? Or have you ever bought a shirt from Shirt? These are the things absent on larger servers that we specifically enjoy about this server. Now we are forced to play with the Asmongold fanboys that I specifically went to CB to AVOID. I am about to quit rn because I am so angry. Prepare your bye felicias etc.
WE DO NOT WANT TO PLAY ON YOUR FORCED MEGASERVERS, BLIZZARD. But now with CB gone we have to. Thanks a lot.

Best server? There’s even less RP than CS (which is already not a lot) and it is impossible to get dungeon groups outside of primetime. Server was going to walk the plank one way or another.

I just see so many missed opportunities to give us a healthy population.
We should have had transfers to the server since day one. And CS should have been locked.
Why add more people to the server where people lag during every event?

This was probably the dumbest move for CB. Paid transfers off would be OK but not great. Free transfers to CB would have been bis (so RP people from other RP realms could come here).
Such an out-of-touch move.

What a colossal mess up by blizz again. The server had a great economy, easy to find groups, recognizable faces, and so on. It was an actual RP PVP server and not a streamer mega server. I aint leaving, they will have to delete my characters. If that happens, an unsub is next

This is a poorly conceived and implemented idea. They should have either opened transfers from Crusader Strike to Chaos Bolt or just left things alone.

Destroying a server with no kind of input or notice is probably not the way you want to loudly advertise to the players that your team has no idea what it’s doing.

It is a good way to get people to quit though. If they’re what they were going for, that I guess they’ve succeeded.
