It has been far too many Halloweens for the Horde to be deprived of their elf vampires.
Today, I have a recipe for making some Halloween Bat Cookies!
The website here has the ingredients and instructions:
And this video shows off them being made:
For the music for today’s post, I have “Emerald Mist” from Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. It’s one of my favorite tracks from the game and really fits with the Fall season:
More spooky posts to continue during the month of October!
–Still dreaming of playable Horde San’layn as a full race!
Because ogre are dumb dummies? If you ever quested at Draenor’s Nagrand you might as well known that not even the ogres from Highmaul are somewhat of inteligent. I just imagine a ogre with a turtle face being called “the Azeroth’s Champion” lel.
What if everyone wanted murlocs? Should they include murlocs instead of earthen?
People want races like arakkoa, sethrak, etc. Not becoming a reality, since we are never going to visit these places again. They don’t fit the actual theme.
A little something different today, as I came across a DIY tutorial to make your own bat plushie! The video’s description on its YouTube page has a link to the template needed if you’re interested in trying it out.
Video below:
There are quite a number of Halloween DIY creations of different types I’ll be looking into and linking, along with various Halloween related recipe videos.
And the music for today’s post is a rock remix of “Theme of Simon” from Super Castlevania IV:

Graveyard cakes are a pretty popular creation during the month of October. There are several videos of different types on YouTube, and I found one that went into some detail in how to make a simple one:
And this one is a graveyard explosion cake, with some edible candy goodies inside:
Graveyard cakes seem like a fun thing to make and design.
Today’s music link is a metal remix of the Ghosts 'n Goblins theme by GaMetal:

I’d love to remake my blood dk as a true san’layn… with the San’layn specialization.
Sorry about missing a day. Had a lot of things going on with errands. I’ll try to make it up with a bigger post another day.
In fitting with San’layn being vampires, I bring a recipe for making “Vampire Cookie Sandwiches!” Recipe is below:
And a brief video showing them being made is here:
Quite the treat to sink your fangs into!
And today’s music is a metal remix of the Cemetary stage from Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, shown below:

Same! Some cool customization options would be great.
For today’s spooky post, I have a video showing how to make some Halloween themed cupcakes, with the full recipe below it:
And if anyone is looking to make a vampire costume, maybe to dress as a San’layn, this video shows a way to make vampire teeth and also a simple costume suggestion for female vampires:
And the music for today’s post is a cover remix of “Bloody Tears” from the Castlevania series:
“Bloody Tears” is something I’ll be sharing a few more times this month.
I’ll continue to do more spooky posts throughout the month to celebrate Halloween and San’layn!

So sad to see the San’layn thread now. No more Fallynn, whom I’ve heard moved on to FFXIV. Sad times.
I won’t say why I think this but if a vampire race ever got introduced I feel it would be the Venthyr unfortunately. I made sure to let Blizz know my thoughts on this since I feel like San’layn should come before Venthyr even though I like the Venthyr. The legitimate Horde vampire race starts with San’layn first.
+1 Playable San’layn, before Venthyr, for the Horde.
Something a little different for this post, as I came across a video that shows why vampires hates garlic, a little bit of vampire lore, and is a recipe for “beef with garlic harvester sauce.” Video below:
If you’re looking for some Halloween props, this video shows how to make some “vampire blood,” which is intended for a decoration and not consuming:
And today’s music post a remix of Shade Man’s theme from Mega Man 7, with a little bit of Castlevania’s Bloody Tears in it:
Yeah, it’s a shame. I think the Darkfallen as a Customization Race thing really knocked the wind out of our sails quite a bit. I know it’s still challenging for me to keep at it, knowing that San’layn as a Customization Race is potentially the more likely outcome.
I’m still hoping to sit down and start to work on a proper megathread introduction post in the near future. RL has been pretty chaotic when it comes to free time, and trying to find employment while also thinking of how to further my education at the same time has been challenging.
I honestly don’t really see the Shadowlands denizens playable at all, though this is my own personal opinion. It’s hard for me to see beings that have roles in the afterlife deciding to instead going to the living world (of Warcraft!) and taking orders from the Horde or Alliance, potentially engaging in petty kerfuffles between the two factions.
Even if there was some huge threat to the whole cosmology of the game’s setting, I still find it hard to imagine them playable. Moreso as we continue to distance ourselves from Shadowlands in general. Who knows?
If anything, the Haranir/Harronir have me a bit suspicious, since they’re bat themed Troll Elves. The NPC models seem to have a few customizations that seem like things people have suggested before in the previous SL megathread. They’re not really vampires however, so San’layn still have that going for them.
Ah well. If San’layn are to be a Customization Race, so be it. Much as I would still prefer them as a full race, if they at least shown becoming officially part of the Horde, then it would be fine, albeit bittersweet. Either way, I don’t really want to give up on San’layn, hard as it can be at times.

This reminded me why I hate Shadowlands so much. So they created the venthyr with all the gothing-vampire-related stuff except they made them… not vampires. I bet the individuals who came up with this thought it was genius. No in reality it was incredibly stupid.
Venthyr shouldn’t even exist. Shadowlands should not exist.
Today, I bring a recipe video for a “vampire poke cake.” Video is below, which also has all the ingredients and directions under its video description section:
I also have a video showing how to make some bat hanging decorations:
Of course, you can do this with any spooky Halloween images. Bats, ghosts, witches, you name it.
And for this post’s music selection, I have a link to the entire OST of Organ Trail, where you can find timestamps in the video’s description for each song:
“Highways and Headstones” is my personal favorite track of the game, which is played at the 9:45 mark.
I’m also considering doing the intro post of the megathread in sections as opposed to all at once. Especially since I have a lot of research to do to make sure I get information right, since I’m not as much of a huge San’layn expert as the previous megathread’s owner.
More spooky posts throughout the month to come!

That music is really good.
Today’s spooky post involves ghosts!
First off, I have a video showing how to make “meringue ghost pops” shown below:
Next is a DIY of several types of ghost decorations that can light up:
And finally, two music tracks for this post!
First is the regular theme of Specter Knight’s stage in the game Shovel Knight:
And this is the variant theme found in other modes of the Shovel Knight, like the Specter of Torment mode. Has a bit of a Castlevania flair to it:

If I understand correctly, Hallow’s End starts on the 18th, which is 3 days from this post:
I may take some “San’layn” screenshots around then to add to my spooky posts. I’ll have to figure out where to take them to fit the holiday.

Just make an elf Blood DK and go sanlayn spec
I’ve been so wrapped up in Halloween stuff that I decided to do a mummy themed post for today!

Next is a recipe for “mummy cookie pops,” which you can either make them as a cookie pop or just a cookie if you wish:
Next is a mummy candy box DIY:
And for today’s music selection, a spooky desert theme from Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin. It’s called “Hail from the Past” but also is known as “Sandy Grave.” Listen below:
As usual, I’ll keep trying to do some daily spooky posts up through Halloween!
-15 days until Halloween!
–Still dreaming of playable Horde San’layn as a full race!
But thats not a san’layn. Thats just a death knight using blood stuff. lol
The San’layn are a very specific thing and its not just a death knight.
Its like claiming that you’re a san’layn because you’re an elf using the Shadow Priest spec and have that one talent called San’layn. lol
I looked in the in-game calendar and saw that Hallow’s End begins on the 25th and not the 18th like that Wowhead link I had stated. Guess I was a bit mistaken. Whoops.
Anyway, for today’s post, I have some videos showing how to make some Halloween related snacks!
This first one has the ingredients used for each snack listed in the video’s description on its YouTube page in English, with the text in the video in Spanish:
This video shows how to make a DIY spider web and spiders out of paper craft:
And for today’s music selection, I have “Horror Land” from Mario Party Superstars on the Nintendo Switch, which the music originated from Mario Party 2 on the N64:
