Some of those recipe ones make me so hungry…
Personally, I don’t want this. We have enough elf and dwarf allied races as is. I want to see more unique race options before we get even more elves.
I think Blizzard needs to embrace it myself. They should really have a team dedicated to Allied Races and Customizations as well as things like new druid forms, shaman totem designs, and other racial and class concepts for customizations. (Thinking glyphs and such if not just an entire system of class skins.)
I agree we need other races too of course, but I don’t personally see a good reason to resist or not provide races/classes/customizations that players could use and enjoy.
It is still time taken away from other more unique race options, some which people have wanted for decades at this point, being put towards yet another elf option. I want more options to actually mean more options, not just the same option with a slightly different hue.
I’ve decided to do a clean sweep this post with a witch theme!
First off is a recipe for a witches’ brew drink:
Next is a video that has several recipes fitting for a witch’s fest theme, both for meals and dessert:
If you want to make a witch’s cauldron prop, this DIY video shows you how:
And for today’s music pick, this is a medley of all the themes of the hub world, known as Gruntilda’s Lair, in the first Banjo-Kazooie game on the N64 and Xbox:
More spooky posts up through Halloween to come!
-13 days until Halloween!
–Still dreaming of playable Horde San’layn as a full race!
When it comes to San’layn, I wanted to ask what type of San’layn characters people wanted to make. Assuming they became a full race, what class would y’all make your San’layn characters?
For me, I’d reroll my current male “San’layn” character as a Shadow Priest still. For my female “San’layn” character, I would likely still reroll her as a Hunter. I’d have to think on it more depending on how I’d feel at that time.
Anyway, on to today’s spooky post! This time with a vampire theme! Fitting, no?
First off, I have a couple of recipe videos for vampire punch that have different ingredients, both of which being non-alcoholic:
Next is a DIY of making a vampire handpuppet out of paper:
And for a fitting music piece, a collection of almost all versions of “Bloody Tears” from the Castlevania series, with timestamps in the video’s description on its YouTube page:
This month always has wonderful nights to have a curse!

Fenelon’s brother would be remade into a San’layn and I’d probably keep him a DK for the look and feel though. I could see me change him to a mage though.
I think Death Knights, especially of the Blood spec, would be a popular class for San’layn. It makes sense for them to have that class as an option, and I assume they would be able to have red eyes. It’s a shame the Darkfallen skin can’t be used with Death Knight characters.
I’m not really sure what other classes would be popular. Maybe Warlocks in general or Shadow Priests would be fairly popular. I’m sure I’m overlooking something, of course.
For today’s spooky post, I start with some pizza related Halloween recipes:
Next is a video showing off some Halloween DIY ideas you can get from Dollar Tree or similar stores if you want some ideas:
And the music pick for this post is Julius Belmont’s theme from Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, remixed by GaMetal:

Since I’m at 3 posts in a row, I’d like to ask if someone could make a post in here. The forums don’t let you post in a thread you didn’t create more than 3 times in a row, so if someone could post in here so I can make some more San’layn and Halloween-related posts, I’d appreciate it!
In thinking about working on the main post of the megathread, one of the sections I’ll need a little help with is ideas for racials, assuming San’layn become a full playable race of course. I’m needing some ideas, since while I can think of some fun themed racials, I’m not that great at thinking in terms of balancing for PvE, let alone for PvP. So any suggestions would be appreciated!
I also need to look at potential dances for male and female San’layn. I remember linking some ideas in the previous SL megathread, so I need to go back and look through it, but any suggestions are also appreciated!
Anyway, today’s spooky post starts with a pumpkin pie recipe with an idea to make it more Halloween themed:
Next are a few DIY ideas you can utilize from Dollar Tree or any similar types of stores:
Lastly, regarding the music pick for today’s post, it turns out that on the 31st, which is Halloween, there is going to be Castlevania themed DLC for a game called “Vampire Survivors.” It has a lot of Castlevania music tracks, including a version of “Bloody Tears,” linked below:
Seems like Castlevania is getting a lot of crossover content in various games. Vampires are still pretty popular in general as well. I still feel like playable Horde San’layn would be a pretty popular feature if they were to ever become playable. Just saying!
And again, if someone could post in here so I can make some more posts, I’d appreciate it!

Wish I could be there for Halloween and play a little on my temporary San’layn character until they add real San’layn for the Horde.
The upcoming Warcraft Direct has been announced for Nov. 13th at 10 AM Pacific:
I don’t really know what to expect. I also don’t expect anything on Midnight yet, but if anything San’layn related gets announced, I’ll be sure to help report it!
Anyway, after a long day of errands, time for another spooky Halloween related post! First off, some recipes for Halloween themed desserts you can make on the cheaper side, with written ingrediants and instructions on the video’s description section of its YouTube page:
Next is a DIY video of making your own Halloween themed graveyard “TERRORium” again using materials found in places like Dollar Tree, with materials needed listed in the description section of its YouTube page:
And today’s music pick is the main hub theme of the Specter of Torment campaign of Shovel Knight, which can be good to have as background music or maybe some dinner music:
Very fitting for a vampire’s dining room.

As I mentioned before, vampires are still really popular, and it isn’t just because Halloween is coming up in a week. Even Castlevania has been doing a number of crossover content, as shown below:
Brief flashing lights are shown in small parts of the video below.
And even recently, Vampire Survivors is getting Castlevania DLC on Halloween:
Makes me wonder if WoW did a Castlevania crossover, if we could get some Dracula transmogs and such. It would look pretty great on San’layn characters. Granted, I’d worry about them getting villain batted for such an event, but it’s still a fun thing to think about.
I do think San’layn would be pretty popular with the whole vampire theme, moreso as full races with things like bat racials and whatnot. Their lore and potential is one of the big reasons I support them in becoming part of the Horde officially as a group. So I’m hoping we see them be one of the Elf tribes we unite in Midnight and see officially part of the Horde someday.
Anyway, spooky video stuff time! To start, this is a video with some Halloween dinner recipe ideas, with links to typed recipes in the description section of its YouTube video:
Next is a video showing how to make a paper bat decoration:
And the music pick for this post is the Scottsman Ghost’s theme in Cursed to Golf:

According to the in-game Calendar, Hallow’s End should be going live in Retail WoW today. I may try to take some San’layn screenshots to go with the last few days of spooky posts.
Speaking of, time to go a bit batty with today’s spooky post! First, I have two recipes for bat cupcakes below:

If you’re looking for a fitting title for any San’layn characters, one of the best titles is the Count/Countess title:
These titles are both earned by hitting Renown 40 with the Venthyr Covenant with a character, count for male characters and countess for female characters. I don’t think it is account wide unfortunately, so if you want the title, you’ll have to do some work for the psuedo-vampires on the character you want to get that title. If San’layn became a full race, that’d be one of the first things I’d do since I use that title currently for the one I show off.
Guess you can count on the San’layn to offer all your vampire needs!
Moving on to the spooky post of the day, I decided to do a theme of Frankenstein’s monster! First a recipe for rice krispie treats:
Next, a video showing how to make themed marshmallows on a stick, with written instructions in the video’s description section on its YouTube page:
Next is a DIY of making a themed votive:
