Stop with the negativity, Shadowlands is the BEST after-life WoW expansion we’ve had !!
I mained warlock in BFA till I stopped playing during BoD mythic progression (daughter was born)
Having to juggle four/five different Azerite sets was awful.
Destro st
Destro havoc cleave
Demo for keys
Affliction. For heavy movement fights
That’s not even factoring in pvp set if you want to pvp.
You must be extremely casual then.
The only reason I didnt like Legion was the addition of DH and the removal of Demo’s Demon Form. Im serious about this too. Demon Form was sooooooo much fun and really cool.
No, not really.
I’ve played every expansion from Vanilla up.
I had the most fun in the game in BFA.
WoD → Shadowlands (pending) → BfA → Cata → MoP → TBC → Legion → WotlK
for me at least
That doesn’t mean you weren’t a casual.
BFA was hands down the worst expansion.
I truly dont understand the hate for cataclysm, the only bad thing i remember was the class changes, logging in and having everything ripped away and dumbing down everything. But i remember the feeling of the world being changed, there was so much to go out and explore again. Every inch of ground i had traveled ,had something new. Bfa though caused me to take the longest break ever.
I stopped playing in bfa, im being serious when i ask, what did you find fun about it.
My achievements tell a different story.
BFA had a lot of stuff to do. If I didn’t feel like raiding I did other things, I like the Island Expeditions, I like having the option to go in there and get transmog items or doing the war tables. The raiding was cool I thought.
BFA zones were beautiful, particularly Kul Tiras. The world felt more alive and relevant than it does in SL imo (casual perspective). More content outside of raiding and M+ also seems to be a shared consensus among casuals.
I meannnn, I enjoyed parts of BFA. I liked the whole alliance storyline where Katherine finds out what she did to her daughter. When she goes to save her and you see this big hug, it brings a tear to my eye. Now, CORRUPTIONS (besides TD on other players and bosses) werent fun to grind and everything about the heart wasnt fun. All that aside, BFA was decent. It wasnt terrible nor was it top notch. At least it gave us different stuff to do and such. I definitely disagree with BFA being the worst but I also dont hate any of the expansions. All had their positives and their negatives.
Well, Shadowlands is likely to end up in the top Worst Three at this rate, but there’s still two full content patches left to turn it around, so we’ll have to wait and see.
If 9.1.5 isn’t an anomaly and how things are going to be for the future, then there’s some promise here. If it’s just to distract us from the lawsuit and sexual harassment, then Shadowlands is probably going to end up one of the worst.
I think WoD still takes the cake as the worst. It’s .1 patch was the, ‘Selfie Patch.’ You just can’t get worse than that, ever.
For me SL is by far the worst expansion. MoP was a blast, WoD was really fun but suffered from lack of content, Legion was amazing, and BFA was fun up until the Nazjatar patch. SL just doesn’t do it for me.
man yall are bringing up stuff i forgot about, selfie patch, good lord.
And be honest, did yall relaly not like garrisons. I ACTUALLY loved them
With warlords, you gotta at least admit the story was good.
Its actually funny because I feel the exact same way about MoP and WoD
For me, WoD and Cata were the worst of the expansions if I were to rank them.
Garrisons were like amazing. Yes, they were really expensive but just imagine never going to a capital again besides for barber. It works so well. I never finished my AH but soonTM
This terminology makes it seem like you’re just trying to come up with a reason why Mists was bad when it really wasn’t. MoP had some great elements to the whole expansion and was rather enjoyable throughout for, I would argue, the majority of players in consideration to the fact that most people quit due to the Pandas. The expansion was rather stable in terms of numbers and didn’t crash like WoD or Shadowlands did.
The artifact power system was incredibly easy to grind by the time the mage tower came around. Remember when we were getting millions of AP off of singular tokens? Artifact weapons were not a difficult grind, even from the beginning. It was just less desirable due to the fact that it was a borrowed power system. Legion is objectively one of the best expansions WoW has had based on player feedback, especially at the very end.
“Cata is bad because I say so!”
I hear this all the time, but it would be nice to see some explanation after that statement.
Vanilla through Wrath are considering high points because of the numbers back then. If you were to release (which they have) classic servers now, they would tank (which they have). Classic servers are dead, and BC is less than desirable due to the monetization. You best bet that when they re-release Wrath, they would monetize the hell out of it. And, if they don’t, the servers will still eventually crash due to the fact that they are OLD games that will never have new content.
Shadowlands is probably my least favorite expansion, all things considered. I’ve quit and haven’t returned for the longest period of time. Upon my return to the game, I’ve only been leveling characters up to 50. I won’t be leveling anything else to 60 until 9.1.5.
Garrisons were… okay? I liked them but they were far from ideal or perfect.
No, I really don’t.
Time traveling Orc supremacist travels to alternate timeline to seek out his father and prevent him from being corrupted by demons and committing untold atrocities in the name of the Burning Legion under demon control, to instead convince him to commit untold atrocities in the name of Orcish supremacy.
