Nothing is new. Every idea is stolen. That’s the way the world works. It’s not a bad thing. It’s iteration and progress.
Every idea you’ve ever had is (most likely) either based on someone else’s idea or the same as one someone already had. Completely new ideas are spectacularly rare and more likely to be monkey typewriter garbage. They only seem new if they’re new to you - like the first time you experienced Pokemon.
I feel the same way, kind of. I know 15-20 years ago I’d have gone wild for that game. Would have blown my mind. It’s doing plenty of things Pokemon should have done years ago but I gave up on.
I’m set in my ways and like what I like now, for the most part. The entire battle royale genre passed me by. Hate it. Fortnight still blew up. I’m convinced it’s this generation’s Warcraft 3 (custom games), though, and that’s amazing. Again, younger me would have loved it.
As you get older, you get jaded and feel like you’ve seen everything before. It’s not interesting to be crotchety and say things people like are dumb and get off my lawn and all that, though.
Or if you’re young you think it’s cool to be special and hate something. But that’s not good either.
TL;DR: new things aren’t new; be happy when other people are happy / think things are new instead of trying to look down on or one-up them.

I’m not jaded lol. I just don’t care for hype created by marketing teams.
Stealing ideas is not how the world works. And it is a bad thing. Those things obviously look like Pokemon and very little about that game appeals to me in anyway.
If I want to play a survival game, I have RUST (which is more fledged out) on my steam and i’ll turn that on instead of playing a game with cute fuzzy pokemon creatures.
I’m not sure how me not liking a game is me not being happy with other people being happy?

Like if i said, “I hate 7up, but I like Sprite;” and someone said, “well 7up is the same as Sprite, you should feel happy that people are happy drinking 7up.” What is my response supposed to be? Like okay?!
What you said is more analogous to “I’m clever enough to notice that 7up objectively sucks”, but the rest of your example is accurate

Yeah okay man, I’ll be the first to say that 7up and Sprite aren’t the same. Before someone tries to tell me that it is.
Do you think not being the same as sprite means it sucks?
If i don’t like something, that would mean that I think it sucks right? I mean I don’t think I’d have much fun for very long managing a farm of Pokemon looking creatures for very long.
I do like using C4 to destroy someones base on RUST tho and the harsh elements of survival games.
