Mike Ybarra left.
Many Blizzard employees are being laid off.

Unfortunate but also unsurprising. =/
They have long since lost their way as a company.
how many of these devs are cod carls tho
Damn. That’s a lot of people with kids and mortgages.
Bill Gates likes to fund his philanthropy (tax breaks) by paying employees in rupees instead of dollars.
This is the craziest part to me, and also really sad.
Bye bye Mikey lmao.
That sure is a take.
WAIT, HOLD ON,
what department???
(I didn’t read article, I’m an idi0t)
Eh, world has an interesting way of making you relive the asinine comments you make. Good luck to you too!
It sucks and I wish it on NOBODY but if you see the PvP forums alone something HAS to change or the game faces it’s execution sentence. Why would M$ buy a dying=> dead product. Illogical.
For your sake, this isn’t true but if we’re dealing in make belief. Then the road to karma and other such beliefs will definitely hold a candle in this conversation.
Back to reality, something Microsoft deals with.
Irony.
10ch
doesn’t say ppl just dooming
What they forgot to mention is these employees will be replaced by A.I.
Having said that, I was looking forward to their fantasy survival game.
I’m surprised it was cancelled. Unless of course it was turning into another OVERWATCH free to play microtransaction monstrosity. If that’s the case, I’m glad it was cancelled.
It probably went like all their other failed IPs. Work on it in the background
Let out a small amount of news about it
Go radio silent for X number of years
Randomly announce its dead after “not being able to realize the full potential of the idea”
Announce new idea
Repeat
A pretty terrible and inhumane one at that
I hope their employees don’t ever see your post.
Not sure what the survival game really was tbh. I know that’s a tough genre to get into tho, if its anything like RUST.
I was at least interested in seeing it, but I doubt it would have been any good.
I knew there would be layoffs as there would be a lot of redundant positions which happen whenever there is a corporate buyout. Was not expecting 1900 people though.
