Sad Blizzard News

Palworld just took over everything, so it is possible.

Yeah, Blizzard quality hasn’t been great lately.

All of the scandals, like how Devs were bullied and harassed, state and federal investigations… CEO Bobby knew what was coming, why he sailed off on his Yacht loaded w cash lol.

Whole dang company needs purged and rebuilt… Hardcore loyal fans is what kept this game alive, and they are aging out. This game MUST change if its going to bring in and retain new players.

Whole game economy is based around Armies of BOTS making money off of wow, and 3rd party organizations…

Only the first week tho right? Theres a huge marketing campaign right now, they’re paying streamers to play it. I would be curious to see if it last.

But you’re right, that was a success. I think that’s rare tho, there are so many more games that didn’t make it.

They broke 8 million copies yesterday. Crazy.

It was a success you’re right.

I would have liked to see the WoW survival game. I’m not sure if I would have bought it after being ripped off on Diablo 3. I would have waited a little before buying it if it was any good.

You’re probably right though that Blizzard in 2024 might not be able to produce a similarly good game.

Peak Blizzard from long ago would have iterated on Palworld’s design and made it even better.

Ybarra leaving, at least, isn’t sad. Employees hated him.

What a tactful way of saying they are steadily dying of heart failure.

I hope Microsoft cleans out ALL of the old Leadership, and any corruption left behind from its last CEO.

Game needs massive changes if its going to survive.

NEW Blizzard survival game is already here, Its called KEEPING WoW alive lol.

Is WoW still making a decent amount of money?

I feel like Microsoft would have no qualms about sunsetting WoW and using the money they save to acquire Palworld.

AMEN Preach!

Who knows, it’s probably expensive to maintain. I assume they are hurting based on the change to the WoW token where you can’t use one if you haven’t paid actual real money in like over a year.

Why would a company that’s doing well be worried about chump change like that?

I thought the token change was to help combat bots/spammers. They kept creating new accounts and then used the tokens to pay for the subs. It’s harder to do that when you need to pay with actual real money for each account at least once.

The span is like a whole year. Do bot accounts and spammer accounts as long as a year? Wouldn’t there be a better way to combat them? Like banning them?

Is that how it works?

  • You cannot purchase a WoW Token unless you have spent real money to purchase and use at least 30 days of game time since 2017. The first paid month needs to have fully passed.

Wouldn’t the bots and gold farmers just pay that? Since it is a business and they probably have the means to do so.

Idk if they’d be able to create new financial information for each new account they create.

When Blizzard bans an account now, they can also ban all accounts with the same payment information.

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE! I DONT CARE!
